Hit 3/3 last night on the jets-browns game. Estimated payout was $120 actual payout was $38 on a $20 bet. Won’t be playing pick 6 again until something changes.
Yea they need a base payout. To be fair yesterday in NBA I did well and a lot of my two slip bets I made 1 more unit than expected. Idk it's strange I can't decide if I like it or don't
If you actually submit a slip, you can see contest details. Only if you submit tho. So every dollar you put into a single slip, puts you in an individual contest. So if you bet $100, you’d be in 100 different contests with the slip you made. Each contest (as far as i know) caps out at 1,234 participants. So that tells you that each contest they enter you in, if 1,234 people were in it, the pool would be $1,000. House keeps $234 in that case. If you get 6/6 correct, you split $700 with everyone else who hit 6/6, if you get 5//6 correct you split $300 with other 5/6 winners. Anything less than 5 is a losing slip. Therefore, if you enter $100 for your slip, you’re in 100 different $1 contests, say you hit 6/6, you split the pool in 100 different individual contests with everyone else who hit 6/6. So you’d split $700, 100 different times. So say 10 people hit 6/6 in each 100 contest you’re in, divide 1,234 (if the contest fills) by 10, that’s $123 you win per contest. $123x100 contests means you won $12,300 on a $100 bet. So confusing to explain. Hope you understand!
was honestly thinking about doing a video myself just explaining it since people don’t get it. the average bettor just wants to bet and know what they’ll win. If you ever do an update vid i wouldn’t mind even commentating on that and helping out lol
and one more thing, i’ve been trying to figure out the pools. Like the pools must be based on odds, because if i have say Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen on a slip, why would i be in a pool with someone who has say Tua, Mccafrey, and Stroud. Idk man.
@@925Sports Yeah and my math was wrong on the last couple sentences. If you hit 6/6 it’d be $700 divided by whoever else hit 6/6. So if 10 ppl hit it’d be $700 divided by 10 people, making it $70, not 1,234 by 10. I may have had a drink or two last night😂. 5/6 would be $300 divided by whoever else hit 5/6. So again if you submit $100, you’re in a contest for each dollar, so you’re in 100 contests. So now they’ll split a $700 pot for you in 100 diff contests. Every contest is a $1 contest. So if you enter $635 you’re in 635 $1 contests and so on.
@@925Sports And pots are always $1,000. 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, and 5/5 winners all split $1,000 in each contest, then 5/6 split $300 and 6/6 split $700 in contests where people have 6 picks. The individual contests for each $1 is because they let you enter as much money as you want, so instead of matching your $5 ticket against someone’s $75 tickets, they break it down to just $1 entries. I’m done now 🙇♂️😂😂
came to this video immediately as soon as i seen my estimated at 281 and it jumped to 552. don't get me wrong, I will absolutely take it, but it just kind of seems like something that will hinder me from using it as what if i DO take a popular prop, I'm getting screwed over. Just demotivating in all honesty
I'm liking it at first I didn't like the flexible type payout but I hit a 6/6 $1 entry and got a $250 return lol wow but I also like being able to adjust picks b4 lock of the game and also set props once they're set they don't move or pull players just be careful if a guy sits you get a zero or it's just counted as a loss
I’d like a follow up video, from what I can tell they put your bet into a bunch of $1 contests and the winners split the prize pool. If you get an outlier of winners your return would be smaller, if you get an outlier of losers your payout is higher. I’ve had an estimated win of $60 only pay $38, but also had an estimated win of $100 pay $257 🤷♂️
Cool video. A huge thing you missed is DraftKings pick 6 is peer vs peer. Fixed payouts = user vs house which DK says should be illegal. DK pick 6 is so much better because you’re splitting 85% of the pot which will be soooooo much more money than PrizePicks pays. Imagine 200 people pay $10 to enter a contest. That’s $2,000 pot. DK keeps $150 and the winners split $1,850. Let’s say 5 people win. They’d each get 20% of the $1,850. Trust me this is way better for users than PrizePicks is. And I get paid a ton of money to promote PrizePicks and do not have an affiliate deal with DraftKings at all.
Yea but the biggest issue that I have notice with Pick6 is that you never get the full expected payout on a slate. For the past 10 days I have made a profit on it but not once has the payout been a full payout. I think They should reduce their rate, and I'd almost like a fixed payout rather than their estimated payout since it seems to always be lower
im a Wisconsinite myself! Pick 6 has been funky. Nothing that would win me over vs PP/UD and these other platforms. I'd tune in to a follow up vid and your thoughts.
Yea I have had some time to mess around with it. I think there's currently a big edge with it but it's also extremely annoying how they have their payouts setup
@@925Sports the edges are nice but the use from the U.I, mobile app, crashes etc. Has pushed me away so far. The main thing is the experience and payout that doesn't entice me enough.
Any update on this? Same here I put $1 hit the whole 6 man , estimated payout was $19 , the live prizing only said $14.28 , were is those extra dollars going , how is the app getting this random dollar amount ?
Downloaded the app yesterday because I’m in california where normal draftkings sportsbook is still illegal, and took 6 picks from the same game and estimated payout was 2100 and now it’s down to 800 like what kinda shit app is this
That’s just an estimate. Depends on how many people bid on that player and was it low or high. More people Pick high and you picked low then you might get paid more because more people bid on high.
I imagine they’ll expand the sport exposure and let you pick multiple sports if it becomes popular. I am confused on the payouts, I’ve hit a few 5-6 but haven’t hit a 6-6 yet. Maybe tonight.
Ya this confusing cause my by far biggest win was on a slip i enerted n only won i believe around 60% of them correct thinking i lost then nxt day i looked at my account and it was like 20:1 on my bet i have no idea how. Idk if majority of the bets were jus killed tht night or what but my biggest payput by far was on a seemingly sub par slip. Ive had all them correct many times n never came close to tht 1 pay out. Still trying to figure out how they price this.
Just won a 6 legger with the Bucks/Knicks game Under Giannis 30.5 points Over Malik Beasley 3.5 rebounds Under Julius Randle 39.5 PAR Over Jalen Brunson 6.5 assists Over Dante DiVincenzo 2.5 3's made Over Bobby Portis 19.5 PAR I'll update with the payout from the 10 dollar bet.
@@925Sports I like the platform. I agree with you that it's cool the lines don't move. You can look at the movement of prop lines on other sites then make your decision based on that. I had a decent day the day before but was playing under $5 bets. Hitting the 6-legger, which I am not suggesting people do with a lot of money paid out pretty good I think, around 30-1.(311.60 was the exact payout) I can't remember if that is better than a Prizepicks 6 legger or not. I think theirs was pretty close, but a little less.
Yes you absolutely would. 99% of people choose only overs so if you do 6 unders and win odds are you’d be splitting a larger % of the pot than if you do all overs like 99% of users.
