Ive just picked up a 2011 Corsa SRI 1.4 100BHP.It started juddering under load going up a hill.I used my Topdon diagnostic that gave me code P0302 cylinder 2 misfire detected.Cars at my mates garage now and im thinking this has happened to the coil pack as water can get down the ignition coil and corrode the coil and the plug.
Have Astra 2009 1,8L engine, diagnostic tool shows error P0303, means third cylinder is not working, I have ordered a coil pack and will check the spark plug probably needs both replaced to fix the fault. Thanks for a great video.
@@suhayl3519 Since I replaced the valve cover gasket, the coil pack and the spark plugs I have not noticed any more issues with my car, improved performance and gas consumption were added bonuses.
@@ArifMalik-mn9df Salam thanks for the response. My car is due a service anyways, should I just tell the mechanic to change the coil pack + rocker cover (with a new gasket)?
@@suhayl3519 Waalaikumassalam, the reason I replaced the rocker cover gasket because there was significant oil leaks from that gasket.So if you notice any seepage of oil then it is a good idea to replace the gasket.
I sorry I don't have one I would suggest local car store give them you reg and they will check you have the right part for your car thanks and good luck 👍
Hi it was cylinder 4 which is the one on the right of the engine bay looking from the front I believe water gets down there causing the problem good luck and thanks
What if it only start misfiring above 70kmh then goes into limb mode and stays misfiring at all speeds ,but next day it goes back to running fine under 60kmh it's multiple cylinders misfiring 123
I recently changed my coil pack. I tried to take out the new coil pack but it is stuck so tightly. To take it out can i use force to pull or do i need any tools?
My car is in the shop, for a misfire on the 3rd cylinder, they can't find the problem, they have tried replacing coil pack and spark plugs, they've also checked the injectors but yet the misfire remains
@@paulshideout9056 thank you Paul my car has been at the shop for 4 days now they haven't even phoned me for the past 2 days not the best of service to be honest, and now it's weekend, so guess I will see what happens on Monday

Hi did you get any symptoms with your car? The performance is fine on mine but I have a constant high pitched ticking/squeezing noise

the 1.2 and 1.4 its a common fault water get under the coil pack seals

Sounds like it could be coil pack, if it goes into limp mode you may get fault code from it if you have a reader good luck !
sounds like it needs an engine head to rebuild, don't waste money on anything else.
Apparently this is a common problem on the corsa and evidently a few Vauxhalls, one of the better coil packs is Delphi

Mine loses power out of blue and engine light come on
Sometimes the coils get hot then cut out and the engine light will.come on leave it a while and it will run again.
Change your plugs u looney plugs cause the coil to fail and get iridium plugs
