I really admire Elons desires to love and be loved after years of pain and manipulation. Even with the knowledge of something new and fresh, the possibility of repeated anger and pain, he knew that it was worth pursuing and that you couldn't predict the future. It's also nice that he was appreciative of the good times that he had, I think when a lot of people are hurt by others they dull the beautiful memories with painful ones and it's hard to separate that.
