I don’t like the idea of playing games, making somebody wait a week just to get the upper hand. Nobody wants to date someone who plays games. Just be yourself. Honesty is the best policy.
I met 6-7 guys since I started to use dating app in Japan from December, you will clearly see the different approach and what the guy is looking for, without the need of clearly said. With only one I went out 3 times but then realized that we have really different point of view in life. I agree with Santi, you should meet more guys just to get an idea of how different people interact in a country different then yours and as well it might happen that while get to know a specific one you realize that even that person is great there is something that doesn’t match. I’m 33 just as a reference
A lot of people make the mistake of saying "I'm not here for hookups" early on. Unless they ask, once you mention that, they don't see you as a person. They see you as baggage.
Hey, I feel like defending this girl a bit because she said she met him through an app, which I am going to assume was a dating app. I agree in any other situation it would be a bit off putting to tell a guy you’re not just looking for a hook up, but in the context of a dating app, I think it would be ok because some people also put in their profiles that they are just looking to play around and don’t want anything serious. Saying she wants to be friends first means she just wants to get to know each other a little before formal dating (with the intention for the relationship to develop if all goes well). Again, if this was discussed on a dating app, I think it would be understood that she is looking for a long term relationship, but just wants to start casual/slow first. It’s definitely an English expression as you see this often in dating profiles “I’d like to start off as friends in the beginning”. I think this is her just being honest about the type of relationship she’s looking for within the context that both people would be talking about the type of relationship they’re looking for because they’re both using a dating app. This is my guess, I could be totally wrong, but thought she may not comment herself since the criticism was a little harsh. I do get where you’re coming from if the comments were made just randomly, but it doesn’t sound like they were based on what she wrote.
I am Japanese but never dated Japanese men. I am dating a Vietnamese ❤ his is the best boyfriend I've ever had. We are in Japan but i am planning on moving to Vietnam 🇻🇳 with him. I can't wait
I wonder if courtship is common in japan. Guys still do that in my country, it's our way to determine if the person persuading us is sincere or not. It's a long process sometimes, the outcome is not always positive but if they end up to each other it's totally worth it.
haha I totally deserved all this judgement! anyways, thank you for your opinions. I'm an adult confident woman and do trust my instinct but what was curious to hear you out. I know Japanese are human too but we do have to recognize that there are cultural differences and that's why you have plenty of videos on this topic!!! and yes YOLO haha Happy belated birthday! :) on other topics you could talk about pets in Japan: how expensive, popular dog/cats breeds, etc.
