    Honestly, I admire people like George who don't mind admitting when they don't know something and are secure enough in themselves to not feel a need to prove how smart they are all the time. I am not extremely intelligent by any means, but I can struggle with admitting I'm wrong about something. I've gotten a lot better at it over the years, thankfully.

    pretty mental how some of these people live their lives judging people by IQ, which they think defines intelligence. it only measures a couple aspects of intelligence, and also, there are other characteristics that are way more important than being smart, e.g. being a good person, or being subscribed to George Memeulous.

    • @ruebrownies

    As a person with -1000 IQ, that full stop wasn't in the wrong place, George. 'Now I understand why.' is a sentence.

    • @treepotato9273
      @treepotato9273 2 года назад +9

      gonna stretch my "iamverysmart" legs here and correct you, that full stop was in the wrong place. "Now I understand why" is only part of a sentence, separating a single sentence into three is poor punctuation.

    • @koboldreaver2517
      @koboldreaver2517 2 года назад +4

      @@treepotato9273 It's not poor, it makes perfect grammatical sense. It has a subject; 'I', an object 'his understanding', and even a time reference, 'Now'. While you certainly wouldn't find it in an academic paper, a non-complex statement such as this can be found in countless novels, poems and plays through history. The only adjustment to punctuation I'd make to it is adding a comma after the first word; 'Now, I understand why.'

    • @koboldreaver2517
      @koboldreaver2517 2 года назад +4

      Just to clarify, the main reason you couldn't remove that full stop is because it interferes with the subject of the sentence. 'Now I understand why we think exactly alike.' isn't what he's saying - it's; 'Now I understand why we got the same test scores, it's because we think exactly alike.'

    • @traffecone

    The kind of people who put movies down for being lowest common denominator are ironically less self-aware than Dr Robotnik - in the movies Robotnik does think himself smarter than everyone else, but he also recognises that his mental health suffers when left alone for too long and appreciates his relationship with Mr Stone, who's probably the only person he genuinely loves besides himself (hence making a Wilson equivalent while marooned on mushroom planet that's modelled after Stone to keep himself relatively sane). He even helps Stone keep up when he gets godlike powers in the second movie, and is not threatened but impressed when Stone surprises him after reading the manual that he wrote for him.

    I learned what laser stood for from comic books when I was a kid, but I never lorded it over anybody, instead I realized how much of a nerd that made me and that I didn’t care if others knew.

    at the end of Dr strange the guy punching himself was Bruce Campbell. it was a reference to the movie and since it was the actor to it was funny. They referenced this because the director of this movie was sam rami

    Service announcement: not knowing something does not mean you are dumb. IQ is based on your ability to retain information. If you don’t know something but you can retain new information efficiently, then you are probably just fine, lol.

    Loved that one person spelling "Stanford-Binet" completely wrong, they also spelled Cattell wrong but that's more forgivable but what isn't forgivable for someone who claims to be "oh so clever!1!" is completely misunderstanding the differences between the tests. The Cattell test isn't "designed to separate the very high IQ folks from each other", it's designed to be not affected by culture, which, if this "super clever person" did a quick Google search, they would've found it's fully called the Cattell Culture Fair Intelligence Test lmao

    I used to think i was smarter and i think i am a little but that’s just because i tend to look at statistics in things but i know nothing about current events and i just focus on my instrument and becoming the best teacher i can be(fun, easy to relate to, the teacher you enjoy being near) with the arts and music i believe i can achieve my goals
    Everyone is smart we’re just smart in our own ways

    10:21 Yes! Imagine 20 or 30 years from now, if Marvel keeps continuing their films, which they probably will, the lore will be so deep and thick, it'll be tough to understand everything that'll happen.
    Maybe this is slightly exaggerated, but it's seems like you'll have to go out of your way to do so.
