I mean north Carolina’s offense was only 8 yards behind Ohio states per game with a average qb . If Michigan had that this season we’re in the playoffs. I see a lot of fans underwhelmed but this reminds me of Jesse minter hire who many fans were not happy with
UNC RB Omarion Hampton had 1660 rushing yards, which was #2 in the country! Chip Lindsey's offense was rated #37 averaging 423.4 yards per game. OSU's was 423.5, so he basically had an OSU level offense with far less talent. As a Michigan fan, going from having the #128 offense to potentially #37 sounds like a home run hire to me!
Harbaugh 100% with coordinator hires? Did we forget Pep? Drevno? Gattis? Don Brown? Part of why we won is because Harbaugh finally got the coordinator positions right.
Let's give Lindsey a chance the guy knows how to run an offense after all. Do you really want an entire philosophy change like a Rich Rod all over again? NO! The guy knows how to run the pro style offense and his team can run the ball. Michigan is truly at its best when it's got a talented QB that doesn't have to be perfect. Top notch defense and good running game wins the rivalry games. If we just had an adequate to good QB play this year we would of been a playoff team. People all freaking out! At least we hired a guy with offensive coordinator experience. I mean we just hired Moore as the HC this year and was never a full time head coach before this season. That was a bigger gamble then this hire! Yeah Minter was an unknown and turn out to be one of the best defensive coaches Michigan has ever had. So don't just rush to conclusions cause it's not a big name hire. GO BLUE!!😊
What I like about Lindsey is that he emphasizes the deep passing game, while not sacrificing the power run game. If you're gonna go with a college play caller, Lindsey is in the top 10 in college football. Otherwise, you may as well go hire an NFL guy. But I like the hire because he will challenge down the field.
I wouldn't use the 2024 Michigan offense as a benchmark to assess this hire. Adding: I think it was vs Illinois that Moody kicked three or four FGs that ended up being the difference.
He wasn’t on your radar, not a big name, and not who you expected. So you think that Moore is “settling” by making this decision? He’s moved around for two reasons. You do it to move up, get experience at several places. Secondly because Gus Malzan valued having him on his staff, as he moved. Get over your feelings. This is a fantastic hire, and if you had more knowledge of how coaching works, you’d love getting Lindsey on the staff. Get on board, he’s a great hire.
Yea I agree. I thought they would hire Brian griese. Or Tulane or Toledo Coaches. But I think this is a great hire. He’s from Alabama and lots of 5 stars ⭐️ come out of Alabama.
It is amusingly curious to hear fans and media discuss this matter-out of abject ignorance. Tanner demonstrates actual knowledge-except, lord have mercy about wanting Donovan back-NO!!! It is kind of hard to listen to much of this.
Well, with him joining we're not gonna know anything until we see him at work with what is left inbAnn Arbor... I've been seeing it all month if Bryce Underwood. Defects to Michigan, the portal is gonna open up, and guys are gonna jump ship, and that's exactly what they're doing. They are jumping ship for two reasons predominantly... So, whereas people are saying we don't need flash, well, swag is swag if your bona fides means you accomplished something that is universally valuable.. what's not bask in false humility. The guy needs to be known for something and he's known for a lot of stuff - some good, some yet to be determined.... that's a fat fifty-fifty ball right there.... we won't know until we see it applied to the system that has been being developed for the last 3 years that netted, the wolverines, a national championship, and that is nothing short than a full-blown spread RPO offense with the smash-mouth element, using multiple backs and multiple tight ends.... Apparently, the system he had been running suggests he may be able to do just that, so we'll see.
Moss would be dumb to come here he wants to improve his draft stock he won't do that here who ever comes here the first time they mess up the fan base will force Bryce to play

Chip Kelly was a big name. How's that working out for OSUck?
Great !! Speaking as a Michigan fan
@shanehilliard125 yeah, finishing 4th with the best roster ever assembled, only scoring 10 points on a 6-5 Michigan as a Michigan fan, I agree.
Al Borges spoke highly of him the other day.

GO BLUE!!😊
Bryce is good with it and feels he will help him get to where he want to go so that's all that matters
Who cares about big names? I want production.
Agreed 👍🏾 💯

Bryce is soooo good very smart kid and knows alot for a highschool kid
I wouldn't use the 2024 Michigan offense as a benchmark to assess this hire.

Maybe unrelated but is Amorion Walker still on the team??

We won with Gattis, we will be fine
Yea I agree. I thought they would hire Brian griese. Or Tulane or Toledo Coaches.
But I think this is a great hire. He’s from Alabama and lots of 5 stars ⭐️ come out of Alabama.
Let's go get Maalik Murphy or Miller Moss at QB, Donoven McCulley and Johntay Cook II at WR, and Josh Thompson or Tyriq Poindexter at OL.
I expect our Chip to bring a couple significant offensive players with him from NC-RB, OL and/or WR.
Love the 2-a-days shout out 😂 i remember being in junior high at the time and loving that show
GO BLUE!!!!!
I’m sure our offensive talent was better than UNC this year. I could only imagine Chip giving us more offense than what Kirk Campbell did this year.
Love the Mud Hens hat
Freshman 5 star QB & both tackles. Year 2 should be good.
Is Jaydn Davis hitting the portal? No one talks about him at all.
All i hear is "he's not ready" which tells me hes struggling with the playbook
Traing table and weight room better than senior high school.
Was Jessie minter a huge hire? Was he something people were omg about lol? I will say I don't like the amount of jobs he's had
That's coaching

Iheard moss to.michigan?
Think another QB Michigan faced in 2024.

Sherone Moore didn’t make this hire on his own. I guarantee you that Jim harbaugh had a phone call to Moore. They talk all the time
Chip Lindsey worked for Monken who has a lot of Ravens connections. So it’s pretty clear that there is still the Ravens/Michigan coaching tree. Lol
Underwhelmed. This is all we can come up with? Terrible hire. Another nail in Moore’s coffin.
Moss would be dumb to come here he wants to improve his draft stock he won't do that here who ever comes here the first time they mess up the fan base will force Bryce to play
The fanbase can't force anything. Bryce will play when he is ready
Get outta here troll you stink....he would be a good get and we want him.
@LuckyLefty92 bet
Ok Skippy...
Weak hire
Please get rid of Ron Bellamy. WR room has been awful, under him.
