    I know this video was made 4 years ago, but I just got done making this and I’m literally obsessed. I used a bulkier yearn and it still turned out perfect. I’ve already started another using the same yarn as in the video, and I’m so excited. TYSM for making this! It was easy for me to follow as an intermediate crocheter. If you have this video saved and are debating making it, just do it, trust me and thank me later. ;) ❤️✨

    I'm working on my fourth one of this design. It's fun to make - just enough variety but not too crazy complex. People go crazy when they see this! I had this prominently displayed at a festival this weekend and it drew a lot of people into my booth. Thank you SO much for this wonderful design and your excellent instruction. I recommended your channel to a few people this weekend who said they wanted to do more crochet but are intimidated by a design like this. I said, "just get the yarn and follow along with her. It's surprisingly easy!"

    I know this is an old video but I am loving this pattern. And yes I do watch nature videos as I crochet. I am watching the hike around the lake right now. I also notice that your great camera guy does something during the editing so that the ads run right after you tell me to continue the round and you will meet up with us then. I can let the ads run whereas if the ads hit while I am posed to start a new round, I would skip the ad to continue crocheting. I am only halfway on this now but plan to try in other colors also. This one is Red Heart Ombre Scuba, and just beautiful. Thanks to you and your dad.

    I'm on my last few rounds of this project using lion brand comfy cotton blend and it works out lovely in this yarn. It's super lightweight for its size and so soft and squishy!! Watching your videos while recovering from my own surgery has improved my skill at crochet immensely and reading how you began helped me as well. Thank you so much for such clear instruction. I also want to note for anyone interested that the comfy cotton yarn can be dyed but it turns out with a twisted colorway if you use cotton dyes because of the mixed fiber. It's really beautiful to see that creamy white blended around greens and browns like I'm using. I couldn't find a color matching what I wanted for this project in stock anywhere so creating it myself during pandemic shipping and supply issues turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I'll use this yarn in the future for creating beautiful color combinations and super soft garments.

    I've noticed many have asked about adding sleeves and possibly a hood to this piece with no answer forthcoming; I'm not one for big projects like this, but I absolutely love this piece and would give it a try, so I'd also like to know if/how sleeves and a hood could be added to it. Love your clear instructions and camera work!

    • @Ocyla
      @Ocyla 5 лет назад

      A hood is possible I think, the only problem is when you wear this pattern the top of the item folds around your shoulders and your back and there isn't a defined edge to attach it to. I don't think it would work very well without looking awkward. Sleeves, definitely, gonna try it myself at some point.

    I want to thank you so much for this tutorial. I moved to much a much warmer climate than I am used to being in long-term. However, it does help my bones. My wardrobe needs to change lol. In the desert, it does still get chilly at night but not cold enough for a full jacket. I do have a light jacket that is ok to wear and still look nice. However, I need a dressier jacket. And yes this is a dressier jacket. It is beautiful. I need to make a few of these in different colors. I think the next one will be in black because that matches everything lol. I am currently making it in white and light blue. The White is the start of it and ends after the spider webs. Well, there is the row of 10 double crochets all around and then it changes to light blue. I like many others that have watched and have made this jacket would love to have sleeves added to this. I do know that I have seen duster sleeves for this. I don't know if you have a video for these sleeves or not. I personally can't have duster sleeves. I would need to have regular sleeves because I am in a wheelchair and they would get caught in my breaks and my wheels and spokes. My wheels are literally bicycle wheels on my wheelchair (which is good and bad. They do require me to inflate them often lol. But the tread makes them be able to go over different surfacs without me sliding all over the place.)

I wish you didn't have to explain how to do each stitch every single time we change stitches (I think you've explained what a slip stitch is like 3dozen times, lol), but I get how that might help a beginner. Otherwise, I greatly appreciate that this pattern exists, you're clear with your directions, and the view of your hands is clear and easy to keep up with.

    You are an excellent teacher, thanks for your videos. I agree with some of the commenters below, it would be awesome if you showed your work as you go, it is helpful to make sure mine looks like yours. The close-up shots of the crochet are really great and helpful, and I think the addition of some far away shots would be even more helpful. One other thing, it would also be helpful to put the round number on the screen, that way when I come back to the video or need to rewind, it would be a good marker as to where I need to rewind/forward to. Thanks again for awesome video and tutorial.

    This was very easy to follow along. I have the last 2 rows to go and I will be finished. I used a dark brown to teal blue color changing yarn. I think it turned out nicely. Thank you for the tutorial. I have subscribed to your channel and I'm looking forward to future projects.

    I finishing my first one in a variegated yarn as not good on colour combination!
    My only "complaint is that the front is not clearly shown as to where to put the fastening and neither is it explained on the video so i would appreciate some help as i am stuck here! 😮 Thanks
