I laid the runes according to the ship burial method today, and the first rune, reflecting where I am today, is Laguz. Your information hit me like lightning to be honest. This rune is in the centre of the moment in time I dwell in. In the beginning of diving deeper as never before, feeling relief and fear at the same time. Letting my true self develop in spite of others ideas and expectations. Bonding more and more strongly to "the others". Gaining confidence and new strenght received from hard battles, becoming more alike my others by the day. Thank you.

This is a great rune for spell work involving money. You always want your money to flow to you, out in bills or in interest if saving. I use it with Fehu. Never fails. Love your rune videos, they are a great source of magic and knowledge.

This rune to me means so much. No matter how much I have read, learnt, studied and watched Laguz tells me so much more in itself. Laguz is on my drum, I draw this rune upon myself and feel so healed. Thank you for this wonderful video my dear friend x

Great video. While watching to this video I got out my "Book of Runes" by Ralph H Blum and noticed that his book states similar concepts for Laguz! If you have done a video of all the Runes, I would love to see them. I pray to the Gods and Goddess of Asgard using Runes! I have made several sets of Runes and I know they are guided by the wisdom of Harr!

Water is so much more than this, I believe. I don´t know if fluidness is even mentioned in the video.That would be mentioned first of all, I think. Also sensibility, being sensitive to vibrations, like recieving messages, telepathy etc, and also praying and dreaming. Plus Moon connection, understanding of natural rythms.

I'm going over your rune videos...again...you inspired me to get runes of my own that finally arrived yesterday...however, they look like broken ice pieces and wobbly and the gold is making it difficult to see...I shall replace them shortly...do you have a particular type of rune you enjoy working with that I may benefit in getting for myself this time around? thank you for these videos...indeed they are much appreciated...you go much deeper than what is found concerning these runes...giving a richer understanding...

I noticed your note about your thumbnail and decided to leave my question/comment. Because laguz is the beginning (and end) of the cycle, why wouldn't we begin our study of runes with laguz? It seems like the natural beginning to me (and has actually been my beginning) - and it looks like it was the beginning for you as well (because when you took your thumbnail picture, you decided to begin this excellent series).
Another thought - regarding the inverted position of laguz. I thought it was fascinating that the advice when getting the inverted position is to be more rational. That makes perfect sense the more I think about it. And a riptide occurs to me. The advice is to think logically when caught in a riptide and swim parallel to the shore in order to escape. If the logical mind didn't take over, the swimmer would be carried out to sea. (I think the guidance with inverted laguz is to row with the current [not against it because you will never prevail] so you don't wear yourself out rowing against it.)

Coming back to this... Water is a very feminine principle. Arith often nails it when he reads more masculine runes, but in this interpretation he really reveals his lack of age and experience I think. Very little understanding for the feminine side of Laguz - which is most of it. The unconscious, the mysticism, flow, intuition, telepathy (water is receptive), dreams, origin in the salt ocean, Gaia... To me this interpretation almost completely misses it´s goal.
I’m trying to work out common shapes and their configuration in each rune that link to their meanings. Is there thematically linked runes based on their shape? Some runes look like they have canopies and a central rod. Some have two rods that link together. Is there anywhere I could start researching this? For example ᛏ has one central rod holding up a canopy or roof, whereas ᛖ has two supporting rods to connect the central dipped shape.
Can odin and Ymir and the well of Ymir be represented in the physical like the gods of the sea?
