They're so amazing with covers. First Wolf Moon and now this. I love how they didn't deconstruct the song or metalized it and instead respected the spirit and vibe of the original yet made it their own. Beautiful version.
@@simonp1165 I can totally understand that. I think you kind of had to be there when Chris Isaak popularized it. His voice was so unique that it's not so much the song itself, it's the original singer that made it so memorable (keep in mind I'm in my 40s however). :)
Very good version, and him already did a guitar heavy version and that would been very easy for oceans to do, so great of them for making a slower version
For better or worse, these guys are the metal version of art films. Objectively incredibly skilled though not strictly my vibe. I do wish them the best though.
Lovely! For another great rock take on this song check out Wicked Game (Cover) - Hannah Boulton, Rabea Massaad, Dave Hollingworth & Ben Minal here on RUclips.
I’m in the opinion that this song shouldn’t be cover at all because it is perfect as it is, and every cover is doomed to be a failure. But this cover version is the worse that I’ve heard.
Without the haunting guitar of James Calvin Wilsey this song has no value to me. The original version went nowhere until a disk jockey played a Wilsey only instrumental version
I cannot stress enough how little I needed another cover of 'Wicked Game' in my life
One of the best covers out there from this one. Cheers with a cup of winter tea!
This song wrecked me. I was not prepared for how much it touched me.

Came here to post something similar, but this is a lot more eloquent than what I'd have come up with.
I also love the Wolf Moon cover, this one not so much but I don't like the original or the HIM version so much anyway

LOVE! 🖤
Cammie never disapoints with her amazing voice.....🖤
One of the best songs I've ever heard in another Version! It was very beautiful!

Stunning!!!
Beautiful. A song that makes you stop doing what you were doing, just to listen ❤
Ficou foda! Na minha adolescência a versão original era minha canção favorita, anos depois curti tbm a versão do HIM.
A Cammie é muito, mas muito talentosa e com a banda ela brilha horrores! Deu muito certo!
Nice!!
Great cover of a great song. You guys nailed it. Thank you for this version.
Amazing version ✨
FANTASTICA versión!!!.
Brilliant cover. Cammie always comes through. Much love from Australia!
Holy shit! This is incredible!
Beautiful cover really
😍

Lovely.
Beautiful version. A great arrangement. Love this.
Great cover and a great and special voice
Great cover.
Wow...

You need that overly reverbed guitar for this song to work like the original. This is good not better than the original.
Better than my cover, how about you? 🤣❤️
🤘🖤🍻
😀😀😀💥💥💥❤❤❤
I like it but the arrangement is almost identical to Isaac's version so I don't really see the point.

But this cover version is the worse that I’ve heard.
Really wanted to like this.
Just another low key cover. I kept expecting, wanting them to let it loose.
Sorry...not good.
kinda slow, why not in the regular timing?!

Not sure why this is album worthy.
Nothing you've ever done or will ever do will be "album worthy" so don't worry 'bout it sport.
@@KalvinStrange ouch, got me.
If you can figure it out, then maybe you should just head out, huh?
It's freaking excellent, that's why you cognitive-burrito
@theogonia1983 if this is considered excellent, the bar is insanely low.
Weak. The original has heavier guitar and is more metal than this. This is weak Seasons of Mist.
Don't like it, then don't listen.
Ok, who’s going to tell them the HIM version is not the original one? 😂
Imagine not knowing who Chris Isaak is or his style, when bitching "about the original". 😂
@@SamBrockmann I do know. It has guitar playing the main lick, which is more metal than this, was my point. Woosh.
@@Ramsohn I already know it's Chris Isaak, which has guitar playing the main lick and is heavier and more metal than this. Woosh.
Yawn...
