When I saw ur video, I wanted one of this Mega spin dryer. I looked everywhere for it, and finally one came up on Facebook marketplace. I grab it for $20 bucks, I love it! Had to come back on here to see how it works because at first me and the seller though it was broken. LoL u have to close, open, and close it again to operate it. Thank You! 😅 😁
These work great for full-time RV'ers because most rv's can't fit a washer and dryer, but these certainly fit and because they don't use much water that means less water in the gray tank. Kudos to you and thanks for posting vids on all of these mini washers and dryers. Very informative.
I have a non brand name lg twin tub washer. Bought off EBay after mths of research and reviews like these. The spin dryer was important to me as i was going to hang dry to finish the clothes. I didn't think a small portable dryer would work for me as much clothes that i wash. Not to mention my school age 13 yr old son is a young gentle giant he is 6'2 big boy. So his clothes are larger and i didn't think a small dryer was gonna cut it. So i love my spinner in my twin tub. I can wash his outfit for school at midnight and by 6am when he gets up to get ready for school his outfit is dry and ready. My only gripe about my twin tub or spinner is that i can wash 9 lbs of clothes at a time but my spinner is much smaller. I have to break it in half doing 2 spin cycles. That's 10 mins per load versus 5 mins. I've made due but the only thing i wish i could wash is bedding. Though i could fit in washer i could never fit in the spinner. It sucks i have all these winter blankets that need washing but i don't have $40 to take to laundry mat or a car right now.i was in accident in may. Not to mention the major reasons i bought my washer was of physical reasons i couldn't keep tearing my back up hauling all the laundry up and down 3 flights of stairs and across the apt complex. My twin tub was a great investment totally worth the $150 its been 2 yrs and running strong. It was hard 2 yrs ago i left a 20 yr marriage where i had all the things like washer and dryer to starting over and ill tell you what my xmas gift to myself was my twin tub it gave me back my dignity to have everything and be left with nothing yep it sure did feel good to have my own washer in my home again and it improved the quality of mine and my sons life big time. Im excited about this review. Id really love to get this lg spinner in the future and really be able to improve on my wash system at home and be able to wash every thing including blankets. You never know what life brings and the great thing about these washers and spin dryers no matter where u live you will have ur own home economical easy convenience lightweight portable washing system no matter where you go or where you live. They are worth the investment your kid goes to college boom they've got their own washer the kid moves into their first apartment you can let them use the portable washer it's worth it for you and your family it's an investment that you can all enjoy. Sorry so long but I'm very passionate about these washers and dryers they literally saved my life.
The main thing with most of these twin tubs is that while the price is low, they are just not built to last very long. They are originally designed for the low end market in China, so in fairness to the factories that make them, if they make better quality they'll lose most or all of their sales. If you got 2 years out of it that is not bad in many cases they don't even last a year.
I want a SuperPop washer. It's on the website, but has been out of stock for months. If The Laundry Alternative isn't going to re-stock it, take it off the site.
Is the Nina soft size able to spin a full load from the superpop or would a fully loaded wash from the superpop have to be split? I am trying to decide which spinner would be best paired with the superpop.
Just saying there are far better spin dryers available with spin speeds of up to 3000 RPM, and pump drain. Better built from metal, and much more stable in operation.
Do you think the Mega Spin Dryer will fit inside the basin of the SuperPop? I have very limited space, so this information would be very helpful to me. Thanks.
Hi thom! Great product and video :-) I noticed on the Laundry Alternative website that they will ship this product to Australia. Can you confirm if this is correct? If so I would be interested in ordering one of these spinners. It would come in very handy as it is much bigger than my other small spinner. Thank you!
why is there so much styrofoam coming out well it's working the for the first time and could there be styrofoam around the motor cuz it's making a noise
cecelia campbell it has the average CFC free coating on the motor that smells chemical on the first uses, but disappears completely. It's not like those chinese products made of cheap plastic.
Nope, it doesn't have a pump to drain. Most people prefer to use a bucket instead of dealing with a bulky hose when it's time to store the spin dryer in a closet.
I read a comment where your new one didn't spin. Don't they have plastic ties at the bottom to prevent spinning? You might want to check the bottom. Hope it straightens up.
exactly that! there are two zip ties on the bottom to secure the shipping bracket. the user must cut and remove both ties, otherwise the spin dryer will never work. there are clear i structions on that manual that most people ignore and also stickers on the lid. Gosh! people are so lazy they don't read and then publish horrible reviews saying the product doesn't work.
Mirya Glover sorry, I didn't mean specifically about you. some customers send emails asking "Why shipping brackets? it's dreadful to have to cut them. you have the warranty so who cares if they break during transport." one of the emails even said "Why the he'll you dare to make a product that needs to read a manual? who does that nowadays? this is so stupid, now I have a spin dryer that I don't know how to use because first I have to read a f-word manual. millennial, millennials.... rolling eyes... but definitely it is NOT your case. you know...
I ordered the Nina Soft. It got 79% in the 5 stars category (Amazon). I need to make sure I don't forget to remove the packing ties. Thanks for all of your help!
Mine is on the way via Amazon (replacing the smaller countertop model), but you can also get it at The Laundry Alternative: www.laundry-alternative.com/our-products/mega-spin-dryer-2/
Hi I've been looking for a washing machine and a spin dryer for some time and I did not want a big heavy machines, as where I live in a block they don't have elevators/lifs installed as yet, so moving very heavy items/objects would be a problem, so I am looking for these washing machine, ,But I can not find them in the UK for sale. Do you know if they sale or inport them to the UK as yet?
Thank you for your reply, may I ask when will you have this lovely Items in the UK, and do you think Amazon will have it for sale, may be they might ship it to the uk, I really would like to have them?
We manage our Amazon store as well. At the moment we can not sell in the UK because of the technical specifications (voltage, hertz, plug type, etc.) that are not compliant with the UK official standards. We have plans to develop products for the European markets, meeting the customer needs and legal standards required by each country, but not in super near future.
There is a target market for everybody. If you are not allowed to have a washer, that's the alternative... Other people simply want to go green. Others want performance. Please, use one of our products and then say something.
Waste money? Mark, I don't know how old you are but i think you are too young or you missed those classes about centrifugal forces in junior high... Regular washing machine = 600 rpm to 1000 rpm Mega Spin dryer = 1600 rpm Even people that have automatic washers love the Mega because after the cycle is done in the washing machine, a 3 minute spin in the mega cuts the drying time by up to 86% in a tumble dryer. Ah, that's nothing... a full load of towels that would dry in a bit more than 1 hour dry in just a few minutes. One load is nothing... who cares? Right? Now think how many loads per week you dry in your tumble dryer.... per month... per year... And the gas or electricity costs running a tumble dryer. Want to go deeper? Ok, so let's talk about the CO emissions. Remember? gas dryer, burning gas to heat... to evaporate water from the clothes.... or an electric dryer with a 5500W heating element making the electricity meter spin like a CD. Silly? This is the largest capacity household spin dryer ever made in the WORLD! The only that can spin the load from a full size washing machine or a king size duvet at once. The only thing silly is the price. If you live in California, for example, and you dry 6 loads per week in a gas tumble dryer (average use or a normal household with 4 people), the Mega pays itself in 2.5 months only with the savings on the gas bill. Oh, yes, but it "takes longer" because it adds another step, you have to spin dry the clothes after the washer and before the tumble dryer. You "waste" almost 5 minutes doing that. Even when you reduce 40 or more minutes from the drying time in the tumble dryer... Are you really sure it's silly?
And to add... a full size washer dryer combo (those "all-in-one) 1) dries only half of a full load washed. 2) Dries by condensation. they take average 4 hours to dry a "load"... So, for every load you wash, you would have to split the load in two and spend 8 hours drying.... Even if you squeeze by hand and line-dry it will be faster than drying in one of those full size automatic combo units. I prefer to dry a full load of towels in under 10 minutes in a regular gas dryer after using the Mega.

Can I barrow your spinner the laundry alternative mega?
I want a SuperPop washer. It's on the website, but has been out of stock for months. If The Laundry Alternative isn't going to re-stock it, take it off the site.
Can these products be purchased in Australia?
hey thom, i have one of the old model spin dryers made by your company could you guys repair it ? I really like it
Is the Nina soft size able to spin a full load from the superpop or would a fully loaded wash from the superpop have to be split? I am trying to decide which spinner would be best paired with the superpop.
Safety features are a bit over the top, and 1600 RPM is the same speed as a standard front loader machine.
David Buckley front loader washing machines are a different category of appliances. the standards allow them to have up to 1975 RPM in the US.
Just saying there are far better spin dryers available with spin speeds of up to 3000 RPM, and pump drain. Better built from metal, and much more stable in operation.
David Buckley not in the US. we can't make them with metal bodies and such high speed. that's why we had to stop selling the previous model.
Do you think the Mega Spin Dryer will fit inside the basin of the SuperPop? I have very limited space, so this information would be very helpful to me. Thanks.
For when not in use, I mean.
Bigg Dawgg unfortunately it won't fit. The Nina Soft fits.
but the lid won't close

Thomfoz, Which spin dryer do you prefer, the Laundry Alternative Mini Spin Dryer, or Nina Soft Spin Dryer, or the Mega Spin Dryer: Thanks.
Linda W mega is my favorite because it's huge.
Now since I got the Wonder Wash, I'm checking out spin dryers. Thanks!
Linda W if you have the wonderwash, the nina will meet your needs
Does this have a plastic smell yo it ? I have a chemical sensitivity and the smell of plastic will make me I'll. And willmyhis fit sheets in it?
cecelia campbell it has the average CFC free coating on the motor that smells chemical on the first uses, but disappears completely. It's not like those chinese products made of cheap plastic.
Does this machine have a pump drain? Who wants the inconvenience of placing a bucket on the floor to catch the extracted water?
Nope, it doesn't have a pump to drain. Most people prefer to use a bucket instead of dealing with a bulky hose when it's time to store the spin dryer in a closet.
Does anyone know what the approximate life expectancy to the spin dryer? Three years?
It is designed to last at least 25 years.
No offense to the company or Thomfoz, the machine looks 'flimsy' so I expected a short life span.
I read a comment where your new one didn't spin. Don't they have plastic ties at the bottom to prevent spinning? You might want to check the bottom. Hope it straightens up.

but definitely it is NOT your case.
you know...
What's the spin speed?
Thomfox, which is your favorite: the Nina Soft or the Mega spin dryer?
Linda W It's difficult to say. I love them both...
I ordered the Nina Soft. It got 79% in the 5 stars category (Amazon). I need to make sure I don't forget to remove the packing ties. Thanks for all of your help!
How many jeans can u put in it

does the zip Thai at the bottom of the mega spin dryer need to come off before it works thank you
yes
Can the spin dryer be stored inside of the Superpop?
No, it's huge.
where can I buy this ?
Mine is on the way via Amazon (replacing the smaller countertop model), but you can also get it at The Laundry Alternative: www.laundry-alternative.com/our-products/mega-spin-dryer-2/

washing machines in UK have good spin speeds my washer spins at 1600 and most machines ive seen in store are 1200-1400 is standard
mark layton Here in the US many people dont have a washing machine because of lack of space, restrictions by the landlord or because they don't want.
