    Nice video. But, it would be useful if you explained the radio and what you are doing.

      MrTibbs90 What you mean 1. "explained the radio" -> download the manual
      2. "what you are doing" -> Before 4 years it was a new rig, it was the first time installation, what is you don't understand, pls be more clear.

    How many Amps does the radio use for TX at 5W and 10W? Thanks in advance

      Diederik van Duijn Hello There, at 5W 2.8A, at 10W 3.8A, at 25W 4.2A & at 50W 8A. All this test are at freq. 145.500MHz and SWR 1/1.2

      SV1QEY Just one question. Is this at 13,8 Volts?

      Diederik van Duijn Yes stabilatize at 13.8V. A battery pack yes the yaesu works perfect from 11.8V to 14.2V checked into my car. But you have to calculate who namy hours you want. At receiving you have 0.8Ampers without SQL, almost with SQL close you 're going to take 0.35A. With car-battery you can worked at least 4 hours (50 AH).

    The answer is yes, if you find a price near to 280e. I use the ft-7900 into the shack and works perfectly. The only problem as model is that it is not double freq, like ft-8800.

    @LadyWeasel : Yes, it's the same, and only the label says "MAAS".....(copied?) cheaper about 88e.....
