I have just recently found your videos and I am hooked! You provide great information in a clear and concise manner which is exactly what I want! Thank you!!!!
I USUALLY remember to toss a few coffee filters into my dye pan when I'm dyeing papers. But never did a dyeing just for coffee filters! And NEVER thought to use Gel Plate to paint them!!! These came out amazing!!! I especially love the Tie Dye ones!!! I will make this a project to do concentrating on coffee filters. They will make fantastic collage fodder!!! TFS Austin TX USA
What an enjoyable video. I love the tie dye technique you used on the coffee filters. I’ll have to try that. I love the many stencils you used too. My favorite is the Julie FeinFan Balzer stencil you used on the red tie dye filter. I love how all the prints looked with that stencil.
Thank you so much! I have brown coffee filters i had no idea what to do with them! I also have a round plate and alcohol inks i've never used! Awesome! So glad I found your channel!😊
Oh my gosh, I just found your channel and I am enamored. Let’s put it this way, I am now down the rabbit hole to watch so many of your videos. I love your technique, I love your tutorial skills, and your voice is very soothing and easy to listen to and follow. Kudos, lady. Keep up the fabulous content. Best to you.
I so love your work with the gel plate, I love your great sense of exploration, you are just amazing, and thank you for sharing so many wonderful ideas! Please be careful when spraying the rubbing Alcohol. I and others who used the Alcohol inks developed a cough when breathing the mist in the air, so maybe you'd want to do that outside. Just love watching you work anf have gotten so many great ideas from you. Thanks again!
Wow! I've used coffee filters before but hadn't thought about it in this way. You've really opened my eyes and I'm looking forward to checking out more of your videos. Thanks for sharing these and I LOVED the stained glass fish scales, it was my favorite!
I just found you but wanted to tell you I think you did a very great job. Those were definitely beautiful and even the funky ones you didnt like had potential. LOL. Love the round gell plate. That is so very useful. I am anxious to see the rest of your art. Very nice. TYFS!!!! Blessings.
Oh thank you, that is kind :) Used coffee filters Hmmmm, never considered it! But people dye their papers with coffee all the time so it just seems like it would be pre-dyed paper. Worth trying :D
Hi Shawna! I just watched this today and just have to try it. Question: when used in collage, how translucent are the printed filters when glued down with matte medium? I don't have any to try. Thanks!
Hi there!! Sorry for the delay but these filters from the Dollar Tree are still very translucent once you apply the matte medium on top. I stuck a gel printed piece down in one of my repurposed books and I could read every word clearly through the filter. I would guess different brands may perform differently in that regard though. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
My 8" round gel plate is arriving today and I bought a package of coffee filters, so am raring to go! Thanks so much for the inspiration. @@CreatedandMadeStudios
