I remember the anticipation of covering my school books with paper bags. It was a place to fir me to doodle and for friends to write silly things to me.
My hubby is killing himself laughing at me as I yell at my IPad telling you don’t forget to glue down the brown paper first! He says I have a problem……lol! I tell him it’s s Pam at the Paper Outpost…….he rolls his eyes….and says……you have a problem honey…….I smile and tell him…Yes….yes I do…….thanks for this cover! ❤️📕🇨🇦
Sounds like my husband, he's always laughing and commenting on my craft, but there are days where he sits and watches me and then says, hey!!! why don't you use this color or do it that way, this is from a guy who doesn't really take an interest. Hmmm! secretly I think he enjoys crafting.
First time ive seen a book sleeve used for a junk journal cover but then why not! Thanks Pam 😊💞 You're very innovative in your mess 😂 I kept thinking where's the garbage can? Pup reporter why not a boy has to have a dream 🐶!
Hey Pam, I care that your desk is messy. It really makes me happy that I'm not the only one that tries to craft with a super messy desk, and that you can even run a crafty business from a messy desk, means I can do my own personal crafting from my messy desk. So you be you okay? There are plenty of 'perfect' youtubers out there, but only one you!
Your hilarious Pam, your u tubes are very entertaining, love it when you complain about your messy desk, don't worry I think all great crafters have messy desks. xxxx Happy Crafting to all. x Love to sunbun.x
This book Singer reminds me of a story. I've had a Singer sewing machine for over 2 years & I felt overwhelmed with it, so never used it. I found a tiny sewing machine on Temu for less than $8. It's so perfect for me! My daughter came on Mother's Day and mentioned she wanted to make/design her own clothes. It was lovely putting the Singer sewing machine into her very capable hands ❤
Two fun videos with Pam and Sunny on the big screen. I can't comment till I get my phone. Today's Quote: ""Kindness is giving hope to those who think they are all alone in this world". Doesn't the mod podge get sticky because of the humidity here in Florida? Huge hugs. Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
I am so happy that you don't let the negative people run you away. Sherry before looking at your videos i couldn't understand a ruler, scoreboard, understand chip board. I NEED YOU! in my CRAFTING LIFE... Plus you have amazing Birthday Gift....
I love how the things on the desk try to get a part in the show lol. Thanks for the book cover reminder. I hv a stack of those leftover from tearing book pages out.
Great way to cover a journal, we used wallpaper, newspaper or wrapping paper for our school books, depending on the look, texture & thickness you wanted 🫶🤗
Love how this cover turned out! I assume that only the Scotch Create glue stick is able to handle gluing paper to those plastic coated dust jackets.. but this is such a fabulous idea and creative way to use them that I absolutely have to try it! Thanks so much for sharing this, Pam!
Hi Pam. I was thinking about doing something with a couple of book jackets I've had laying around since you did a previous video using one...now I don't have to go find it again...I can refer to this one. I'm thinking cardstock for added strength. I don't think it would be to thick to sew through. Anyway, great timing. TFS Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
I haven't used my sewing machine for paper. Do you use a special type of needle for this, or just use any needle? How often do you need to replace the needle? Love the cover idea.
I am not sure what Pam uses exactly. She says she is not sew-savvy, I would guess it’s universal. I use a universal needle and I’ve followed along with some of her techniques. Hope that helps.
It’s amazing how many ways a junk journal can be made! I hope the beginners try some the ways! Pam is a great teacher and funny along the way! Just have fun! Happy crafting everyone!❤
Some of my fondest memories are sitting at the kitchen table with my older two siblings helping me put the brown bag covers on. Anyone remember the preprinted covers you could buy for book covers?
I found some Scotch glue sticks at JoAnn but they are not quiet like this one you are using. Maybe different packaging, maybe different type glue stick all together. I had plenty of glue sticks so I didn't buy any yet.
sorry Pam but sometimes I just want to tell you you to be quiet.B ut mostley I enjoy your ideas joan . what yoy do I am positive , Is very difficult to do on camera . joan

You might get the sticker off easily by heating briefly with a heat gun or hair dryer. Great idea using the jacket!

I’m happy with the repackaged Scotch Permanent Glue stick that I got when I thought I’d ordered the Scotch Create 3 times! ♥️
Glad I found you, thx for the tutorials and the entertainment! ❤😆
Hello 🤗 Pam. I agree no matter what craft you must always keep edges in check ✅
Love you for the last 5 years, Hello from Detroit Michigan
I use the brown paper envelopes from Amazon packaging and cover it. It makes a nice soft think cover. Other times Cereal or food boxes.
Oh my goodness you craft like I do… love it
That cover DOES look like leather now. That is so cool!
I love you sunshine! ☀️ 😊🌻

❤ Pam, you are a genius and so funny 😂
Thank you. I had hit a mental roadblock as far as my crafting was going, but now, watching this video, I'm full of ideas. 😊
Book covers were good to scribble so we didn't scribble on or in the book!
Also, they used books longer back then and wanted to prolong it's lufe.
Very cool upcycling idea! Love it! ❤❤❤
Pam you are always thinking of great ideas! I never thought to make a cover out of the jacket before! Brilliant as always!❤. Love to all!

Happy Monday all! 🎉 Great idea... Nothing goes to waste! 💕
I've used many glue sticks. My favorite is always Elmer's.

Very cool Pam! Hi there snuffers boy...❤
I love it, Pam. I often wondered about these 😊. Yep, it is yew-who pronounced, right first time 😃
No, it's pronounced like "ooo-hoo" .. she said it right in one of the variations :-]
Great video!
We could doodle on our book covers
Yes❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Came out nice. But yes that paper has to be in the right order!! Right?? Lol yeah. Whew. What a save.😅
Some of my fondest memories are sitting at the kitchen table with my older two siblings helping me put the brown bag covers on. Anyone remember the preprinted covers you could buy for book covers?
Hello just stared watch your video question what is the brand name of your ruler I like that you can cut the paper without using a paper cut thank you
We covered our text books in school in order to help them last longer , hopefully
If you ever want to take a label off the front of book cover, use eucalyptus oil. Just daub using cotton pad.
I found some Scotch glue sticks at JoAnn but they are not quiet like this one you are using. Maybe different packaging, maybe different type glue stick all together. I had plenty of glue sticks so I didn't buy any yet.
💕
❤❤❤
Pup reporter how many options do I have here 😆 😂
❤
No no Pam the pages fit because ….IT IS THE SAME BOOK!!!!!!! Hailarious!!!!
In Pam's defense, I can tell you that the painfully obvious is not so when we're recording. My last video is a testament to that. 😂
Is something wrong with Sunny's left eye? It was squinty...he may have just been tired lol but the other one was wide open.
I couldn't figure out what the surprise gift was.
My dad used to say…measure it with a micrometer, mark it with a crayon, and cut it with an axe..he always made me laugh.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The best thing about dust covers is they are virtually indestructible…. Don’t believe me try tearing one… go on…give it a try…you know you want to.😂
i think they were covered for privacy reasons? so that the book titles wouldn't reveal where a student was in the hierarchy of academia.
💗
😅use the whole piece of paper Pam 😅
sorry Pam but sometimes I just want to tell you you to be quiet.B ut mostley I enjoy your ideas joan . what yoy do I am positive , Is very difficult to do on camera . joan
