I’m laughing so hard that nobody wanted Kitras’ “Dear Cookies” hahaha the music was a perfect touch. You two are just so lovely, kind, silly and make me so happy!
The Tōdai-ji temple is one of the largest wooden structures in the world, it is so hard to capture its enormity on camera!! When i visited Japan last year, Nara was one of the highlights for me, but the deer park was more hardcore than I expected, I was there when there were lots of fawn, and I saw some other tourists attempt to pet one of the babies and a park worker intervened and explained that if you touch the babies the mothers will not recognize their scent and will stop feeding them and they will DIE, and they were very aggressive at that time, they were head butting and rearing up on their hind legs for the cookies, I saw lots of people drop their cookies and scream and run away as the deer swarmed LOL loved the Japan series, hope y’all go again!
Kitra you are right everything is sooo cute in Japan. Just wanted to also say I have loved this series of videos… sad it has come to an end…. It just means you and Peter have to go back! LOL ❤
I went to Nara around this time last year, seeing the deer everywhere felt weird but everyone acted like it was all normal. They were all calm and sweet and i even got a few to bow for me! Glad you guys got to experience them too❤
@ i went solo to japan in november-december and had the best time! I wish i had found your disney videos beforehand but you’ve inspired my partner go back with me so i’m very thankful for the both of you! keep up the great content ❤️
I have never had the urge to visit Japan, or Asia for that matter, as the food and language barrier seem too daunting to overcome. The culture is so different as well, but I'm glad I watched this series, as your infectious enthusiasm makes it seem more approachable. I have been to Spain and France and there are still too many places on our bucket list (The UK, Italy, Switzerland, Himalayas, and on and on), so I'm glad I got to see Japan (and China) through your eyes. Thanks for the great content!
31:44 i LOVE arashiyama... going into one of the cafe/bars and enjoying a yuzu cocktail as you look at the view.... its magical Why not move here guys!
My kids did both the deer park in Nara and the Monkeys in Kyoto the same day while traveling between Tokyo and Osaka and they thought this was the best day they had the whole vacation!
@ Thank you so much I really enjoy watching your videos I recently started watching your channel last year in December and I think you and Kitra are an awesome couple and I can’t wait for your next adventure ❤️. Keep up your amazing content 🤗😁🤗
Good Morning 🌅 from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR, to the both of you. So happy to see you two back on your Japan 🇯🇵 trip embarking onto Nara and Kyoto. It’s so funny to see the deer 🦌 🦌🦌🦌bow to you just to receive a piece of the cookie. I wonder if you even tried to eat them ………?? 🧐🧐🤔🤔 The pounding of these JAPANESE MOCHI is a traditional custom especially at the beginning of the Japanese New Year Holiday. The white MOCHI version is normally slightly roasted over grill and eaten hot, but I bet the green MACHA MOCHI tastes even better. 🧐🧐🧐🧐🤔🤔🤔🤔 Kyoto is mostly popular with tourists visiting major shrines and temples. You must visit the FUSHIMI INARI TAISHA ARASHI YAMA and KIYOMIZU-DERA Shrine. It opened in 711 AD, and is opened to the public 24 hours . Popular hours are from 9 a.m.. to about 7 p.m.
@ I’ve been watching you guys for years , I’ve always been curious what do you do with your headband collection where does it all go? And all the merch you guys get.
@rickyskidmore7695 Kitra’s headband collection goes on a couple racks in the closet that I bought her off of Etsy. She honestly doesn’t have a many as you might think. Loungeflys on the other hand have taken up half the closet 😝 as for merch, usually Kitra buys ears or a loungefly or a spirit jersey. We don’t buy as many things as you might think.
I did a student exchange back in high school where I lived in Osaka with a family, we went to Nara but to this Tiger temple instead, I had no clue there were deer. And I went to Kyoto for a school trip, but we went to this textile museum and I totally missed out on seeing the tori shrine. Basically what I’m saying is I totally missed out and have to go back😊 One of the cool things I did do was go to this park inside of a dormant volcano that had a waterfall and some wild monkeys. We also stopped at this mountain temple where they sold darumon (the red god where you paint an eye and make a wish). As you climbed up to the temple the stairs were littered with all of the cast wishes and at the top they had one of those giant bells you ring with a log😊 Japan really is magical.
One more comment, lol. Just finished the vdo, awesome as always. But I was just thinking how much I love the OG theme park centered content, but man do I love, love this travel content. Why? Because you bring this Disney type of excitement to new things you are discovering. So fun to watch. I can’t help to wonder how you would react to other countries such as Thailand, Malaysia etc…..
Really enjoyed your Japan series; it looked like a ton of fun. I particularly enjoyed the moments around Japan outside the parks, though the Disney parks are fun, too. It's cool to see Japan's take on Western culture in the parks with their versions of parades and so on. As you guys often mention, it looks very much the same, yet so different as well. 5/5 on the series as a whole!
I want to try the silk sweet potato ice cream too😋😋. Trying to convince my parents to go again the first time we went was meh okay the places we went to, thanks for sharing your Japan videos I watched all of them and enjoyed every one thanks for sharing the tips too appreciate it 😀
On my first trip to Japan in 2016 I visited both Nara and Fushimi Inari! After hiking up halfway lol I had the best inari sushi in my entire life at a little restaurant near the bottom of the mountain.
So glad you got to see Nara and some of Kyoto. My son was sick two of our days in Kyoto so I didn’t see the torii gates at Fushimi Inari Taisha but my husband and daughter went and they went so early that it wasn’t too busy. Also thank you for the Japan guide in your patreon, we will definitely be using it on our next trip! I would love to see this for other places like Florida, Hawaii, California!
If you guys go back to Kyoto and the 1,000 Tori Gates. I highly recommend doing it in the evening time! Less people and it honestly becomes MORE mysterious and magical as the sun goes down =] Also the climb up to the Snow Monkeys about did me in😅
Great series of vlogs. My anxiety went up watching those ppl try and crawl through that tree beam. Just the fear of getting stuck. 😬 I’ve been watching and following along for 3 years now. When did the 5 stars ratings come about?
By the way, have the both of you tried KATSUDON, deep fried pork on rice covered with Japanese version of scrambled egg ? How about TONKATSU -deep fried pork with shredded cabbage on a side of rice 🍚. The curry Katsudon Ramen is also very popular in Japan 🇯🇵.
Hi 👋 I hope you guys are doing well 😊🙏 and that you're having a happy weekend 😊 and a happy Sunday ☺️ and I hope you guys are enjoying your trip or enjoyed your trip if you guys are back now. Also please remember to take care of yourselves 🙏☺️ and you are amazing 🤩 so keep being you cuz your awesome 👍😎🙏 and please remember to be safe 🙏. Also I'm okay just dealing with a lot and I'm not sure how I feel about today.
Come to the Midwest. I've seen deer 3 blocks from downtown during the late night. Out if the fields after harvest you can see herds of them Literally a hundred at a time. They can be terrifying if something spooks the herd. They scatter at a full run in all directions. Including into the road in front of your car.
This is definitely how I'd visit Japan: with all the animals. Deer are one of my favorites, besides cows of course, well and foxes, ravens, ducks, pigeons...there's a lot of animals out there. Oh, and in my mind this is how I imagine Covid happened @12:11 ;) 🦌🍪

I’m laughing so hard that nobody wanted Kitras’ “Dear Cookies” hahaha the music was a perfect touch. You two are just so lovely, kind, silly and make me so happy!

I went to Nara around this time last year, seeing the deer everywhere felt weird but everyone acted like it was all normal. They were all calm and sweet and i even got a few to bow for me! Glad you guys got to experience them too❤
I love how normal it is
I cannot believe you only spent such a short time in both of these places! I spent 5 days in Kyoto and think it was the perfect amount of time :)
I wish we had 2-3 days in Kyoto

I’d love that but gizmo is not good at being taught things 😝

Dang it! I was going to get stuff done and just watch a couple of minutes of this video. But I watched the whole thing and wanted more!
Haha thanks 🙏
The red bibs on the dog statues are a symbolic gesture to ward off evil spirits and protect the sanctity of the shrine.
👍
@@ponchan-o9i sorry that's what I meant fox. It's just that he called it a dog in the video and that's what was on my mind at the time.
Thanks for taking us along on your extra-ordinary adventures ❤
I was geeking out over the Nsync shirt 😊

Bow!!

Great series of vlogs. My anxiety went up watching those ppl try and crawl through that tree beam. Just the fear of getting stuck. 😬 I’ve been watching and following along for 3 years now. When did the 5 stars ratings come about?
I think it was during our magic key terrace video. I’m not sure how it happened 😝
Awww beautiful deer and they must love those those cookie
Haha they do
@ they are very beautiful deer 🦌
Pro tip from ME: Go to the red gates in the evening. Close to empty. Walk up the mountain as the sun sets and down as it gets dark. Just magic.
That’s a good tip
So when we moving to Japan? You know you want to! lol
Haha we love it there

Thanks for sharing, guys. How long did you spend in Japan this time around? Have you been to Hiroshima on your visits?
We were there for almost three weeks this time, a little less. We have yet to go to Hiroshima. Maybe next time!

We went to the bamboo forest at Arashiyama. Should have gone to the monkey park as the forest was too crowded.
I wish we had time for the bamboo forest
The deer will bow to you when they want a cookie
Love that
