Drove it for a quarter of an hour, in city traffic. Wonderful transmission, picks up at the slightiest turn of the throttle, like it were no automatic...you can float without rpm surges, very pleasant to be so silent, to me it is like to be on a magic carpet... but what a punch if you decide to accelerate!!

I am impressed by this scooter.. 32.8 hp at 8250 rpm out of a single cylinder 330cc engine. Bore/stroke ratio of (78mm/69mm) = 1,13, meaning it is not a short stroke engine compared to a lot of modern motorcycles.. Also the weight with oil and full tank is 177kg which is not bad for a large scooter.. This combination of weight and power means that the scooter is much better on motorways than the 279cc, 22.5hp piaggio scooters.

Probably my next scooter. Only thing I don't like is the boring looking front.

To few road motorcycles with 300-500cc, single or twin cylinders on the market.. Either you go for a modern 250cc bike such as the honda CBR250r with 26hp or the new ninja 250 2013 with 32hp. Next step up is a 650cc twin with 72 hp or the 100+ hp 600cc inline 4. The new honda nc700 with 670cc twin with 50 hp is efficient but a heavy bike at 220 kg. The large singles (BMW GS650S and yamaha xt660 or KTM duke 690) but without fairing
But a 400cc twin would be much more comftable on motorways
