SORRY FOR USING ETABS WORD INSTEAD OF SAFE IN SOME WHERE🙏
in this lesson, we are going to design and detail a flat slab using CSI safe.
to design the slab we are going to perform the following steps:
Start a new project, define design code and units.
Prepare the project plan as dxf file in Autocad and import it in Safe
define the materials, column, beam, slab, and drop panel section.
draw the defined sections
define the load pattern, load cases, and load combinations
assign the loads
analyze and check
define long term load combination
check the long term deflection
check the column punching shear
design the slabs
detailing the slab

If punching shear comes greater thann 1 ,can you increase the thickness of slab instead of providing drop panels?
