The defences job in cases like these is not only to absolutely make sure that the accused party is innocent, but also to make sure the prosecution did their job right, crossing their Ts and dotting their Is

Hi there, I'm just curious on how the law system (especially if a lawyer can choose who to defend and who not) works in your country. Let's say there are 5 cases in a row that the lawyer declines to defend, are there any consequences for that?

She was so used to playing the role of sweet, innocent girl and manipulating people that she thought she didn't have to put too much effort into planning. She just assumed she would get away with it. She never thought her games wouldn't work on the cops. It had always worked with everyone else. She was used to manipulating men and thought cops would be as easy to play as Travis. Her attempts to play abuse victim at trial makes it even more obvious what her plan was. She accused Travis of CP but his devices were extensively searched by professionals. They found nothing. Travis didn't have the skills level that would be needed to hide CP on a lap top from professionals. She was willing to step on anyone to get her way. Travis, her family, everyone. She accused her family of abuse too. She accused Travis of the worst crime u can accuse a man of, being a child sexual predator. She didn't care. It's all about her.

wowww after she was found guilty, her lawyer published a book called “trapped with ms. arias” and she tried to sue him.
so to all the comments saying lawyers who defend killers are bad, some are not! its a job to make money. i dont think they get to necessarily pick and choose who they want to defend.
