About The Dip:
"Hailing from Seattle, The Dip is an electrifying seven-piece ensemble that melds vintage rhythm and blues and modern pop with "impeccably crafted, 60's-steeped soul" (KEXP). The group quickly gained notoriety throughout the Pacific Northwest for their eminently danceable live shows that feature the powerful vocals of frontman Tom Eddy (Beat Connection), bolstered by the deep pocket of their unmistakably detailed rhythm section, and the spirited melodies of “The Honeynut Horns”. Hard-hitting but sensitive, The Dip harkens back to the deep soul roots of the decades past and pays tribute to this history through the grit and grace of their performances. The band's 2015 self-titled debut, recorded to tape at Avast! Studios, propelled them to notable appearances at prodigious festivals such as Sasquatch! Music Festival, High Sierra Music Fest, Summer Meltdown, and Capitol Hill Block Party as well as built anticipation for their 2016 release, Won't Be Coming Back (EP). Whether young or old, you can’t help yourself from grinning ear-to-ear when you see these gentlemen hit the stage. I wouldn’t hold back dancing for that matter either! Ladies and gentleman, give it up for The Dip! Hit up the dance floor, and put it in your hip!"

Lyrics:
Someday I might miss you
But I sure don't miss you right now
I was blue as a man could be
When you left me
But I sure don't miss you right now
It took me awhile
To get back on my feet
It took me awhile
To smile again
I was ashamed that I could ever be so weak
But I love you girl
Yes I did
Someday I might miss you
But I sure don't miss you right now
I was blue as a man could be
When you left me
But I sure don't miss you right now
When you put me down I was
All torn up
Sure enough
Crying every night
When I was eatin life
And everything feels so new
Finally got over you
Someday I might miss you
But I sure don't miss you right now
I was blue as a man could be
When you left me
But I sure don't miss you right now
Some nights I start to feel real weak
I get so low and down
I can hardly sleep
But I know this too shall pass
And at last
I don't miss you, baby
Someday I might miss you
But I sure don't miss you right now
I was blue as a man could be
When you left me
But I sure don't miss you right now
Someday I might miss you
But I sure don't miss you right now
I was blue as a man could be
When you left me
But I sure don't miss you right now

Got the special coke bottle 45 issue last year. Great song! Funny how the happy feel of the song (love that riff!) is counterpoint to the actual story.
Love love love ❤️
This song got me through my broken engagement. I missed what I thought I had for a while. But alas I don't miss you baby.

This song is how I feel about me losing my job during the corona virus :)

This sounds like that 60s soul, Like the music MoTown started with. Makes me think of artists like James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Mary Wells, or Martha Reeves and such.. 👌🏼
They fooled me, because I legit thought this song was actually from that era when I heard it.
Thought this was for sure a black 60 year old vocalist
Kudos to all those amazing black artists who for sure were a big inspiration for this awesome song!
Yesssssssssss I love it. I hope they stay this way and that the pressures of entertainment don’t change them
@@jrandt08ok so me too I can’t lie and then I looked it up.. I was like ohkkkkkkkkk love thissssss😊❤

Urgent necessity to find out which Rickenbacker is that bass. Modified model?
Musician credits?
Why has no one covered this?
Who do you think would do it best?
A University of Washington band
I don't miss you sooo much I made a song about you.😂😂
I try not to assume anything, and hate stereotypes... However I was not expecting the WHitest of WHites for the entire band. This is not a social statement, just a funny observation. Regardless, this is an instant classic.
hahaahaha it's totally okay and this comment gave me a good chuckle. thanks for stopping by our corner of the internet :)
That bald guy makes bald cool.
Ha!
Bands amazing besides the drummer. The drummer sucks. He's no where near on the talent level as rest of band.
