Bravo nice to hear a men that knows how to play Merlin. I grew up playing small instrument like that. Cheers even old dog can learn a new trick if he wants . Claw Hammer blues I do lie.
I love this instrument and what you do with it here. I have never played anything but a little harmonica and I do a bit of drumming. From what I hear this is a very nice stringed instrument to start with. I have one on the way now. I love bluegrass and blues music. Thanks for the inspiration!
Just ordered a Merlin... this video really made me smile. I like a lot what you can do with this, and I have not seen this style of playing with it until now. I really want to learn the banjo but have zero musical experience and learned of the Merlin and it's ease of playing... figured it would be a great way for me to get into it. Going to order a capo as well. Subscribed and will be checking out all your videos. Thanks!
Joseph Meyers Thanks Joseph. The Merlin really is more versatile then they advertise. The more that you explore the more you find. and as a first time player you could enter have picked a better instrument. Practice Patience and have fun.
Was just thinking about listing my Merlin for sale on a local classifieds site when I came across this video...now I'm rethinking. Thanks for sharing. Do you need a special capo for the Merlin?
@@RyansSeagullMerlinM4Lessons I still have it for the time being, but I did list it for sale. I just don't seem to have the coordination for stringed instruments. Decided to stick with percussion and Native American style Flutes.

So did you keep the merlin? Any capo should work.

Yes I did. I did a vid on it awhile back.
