What is more wonderful is the fact that he is NOT reading a speech, he is speaking truth from the heart. I could not help but cry when watching this video. RIP, great son of Africa, we will always love you.

Yes you are right but I don't think it is the principal for the truest of speakers.

An absolute champion! A young charismatic military captain who realised the potential of Burkina Faso and built the country in under 4 years. Literacy rate and self-sufficiency improved drastically. This speech is wonderful. The indirect control of neo-colonialism is far more dangerous than direct control of colonialism. We do not owe the Europeans a penny! He is similar to Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, but I do not wish to call him the AFRICAN Che Guevara. He is his own man, and man of himself and no one else!

at the same time you can't tell your enemy your purpose and your drive and your truth!!!he was too obvious that is why he was killed by his own friend. At times you must be Machiavellian I'm not sure he really understood this. Too bad for Burkina. AT LEAST 4 NOW.

@@sahrfoyoh9214 great point there as someone who read the prince by Nicola Machiavelli, you cannot be obvious to your enemies but your agenda and intentions need to be addressed to your people which makes your objective obvious to your enemies. So in short it doesn't matter weather you hide it or not, you need to put fear in your enemies internally and externally. He put fear in the external enemies but forgot the internal who was his "best friend".

The sun continues to shine in Africa, with earthly riches far beyond one's imagination, a land that is bounded in chains of colonial masters in the disguise of foreign aid, whilst referred to as a third world. Africa watered by endless bloodshed and the assassination of voices of reason. That day will come where our beautiful land rises and claims glory, Africa unite!!!

I hate Sankara more than any other African leader. Why did he have to die so early 😭😭 How could such an intelligent and foresighted man ignore loud and clear security warnings from his own defense team!!! If Sankara had acted early and strategically to contain Campore and his rebels, he would have lived just a few years longer - just 2 or 3 or 5 extra years would have galvanised his plans to transform his people. With his pace and depth of knowledge 3 extra years would been worth decades of growth for the Burkinabe. I hate the complacency that took him so early

@adamlivs You are wrong. Capitalism is never a system that works, as Sankara would tell you! Islamic capitalism was as bad as ''white'' capitalism. White people are not bad in their nature, just as black people are not. However, it was Europe that, by chance, became dominant and oppressed people. White and black workers and peasants are brothers! VIVA LA INTERNATIONALE! VIVA SANKARA!

He deliberately does not speak about the fact that most of Africa's problems today not 50 years ago, are because of its leaders corruption and mismanagement of money they borrow (Which they are not forced to). If you borrow a loan you pay interest that is nothing new so you have to find ways to generate your own money and therefore not borrow, has any African leader done this?? Has any African leader created a situation where the country he leads is manufacturing or earning money through manufacturing a product out of its natural resources without any foreign input? They use the word “neo-colonialism” at will but if you do your research who are the real colonialists in Africa today? Who are the “chosen ones” who benefited when the colonialists left leaving their citizens in poverty??
