I think Ange is growing too during his time at Spurs. Being persistent for quite some time, now I start to see himself being flexible in term of man management and game management just a tiny bit that do not compromise the way we play. I love to see us to emphasize on defense during the dying minutes just to close off the game. I just love it ❤
@suraglinl2979 And we are not going gung-ho at our opponents. At some point, I thought I was watching a Conte team. Those who are saying Ange doesn't have a Plan B are smoking something.
Davies is 'Steady Eddie'. Not exciting, but steady and professional. Made the tackle which led directly to a goal against Villa. He's worth holding on to.
I think Ange wants to send a message to South Korea and Argentina mangers that Sonny and Cuti are barely fit enough to play more than 55-60 minutes to convince them not to go in international duty? Maybe? 🤔
Tottenham legends like Son and Davis deserve the respect of a long-term contract to finish their careers with us. We need to show loyalty to those who have given so much for the club. COYS!
For once Ange tactically makes the right calls and motivates the team brilliantly at half time, consistency is the key in this league, but that for me was his best game yet as a coach !
@@TooDarnSoulful What you're struggling with is the fact that you've been an Ange out man and now you have to marry that up with the internal realisation that he's a great coach. Like most of the online Spurs fanbase you need counselling ;-)
Ange is thinking about the amount of games ahead. Injuries are hitting the big clubs with a lot of games played. Our depth is there yet. We have to trust the squad to play more minutes
Mate so correct Ange on Sonny, nice depth in the team now that so much talent that can come on (Ben Davis, great comment, need solid backup work horses), also investing in the youth....long term program, exciting
As good as it was, we really shouldn't overhype this win. It was a struggle in the first half and not as one-sided as eveyone thinks in the second. That said, there were so many positives to take, despite the worrying injuries and growing injury list. Richy, VdV, Romero, Spence, Odobert and Werner all have knocks or something worse, which could prove to be crucial. Great win though and clear signs of progress. Definitely one in the eye for those who think Ange is a one-trick pony. COYS!
Not only are the Arse only 2 points ahead of us, but their (“amazing”) defence and our (“kamikaze”) defence have both conceded the same amount of goals We’ve also scored 5 more. But the media shits itself over Arsenal. It’s stupid
Excellent week after a terrible Palace game. Having said that a few areas we need to continue to work to be excellent and consistent. 1. Need a plan to beat low block & counter attacking clubs 2. Be more effective on our corners, we need Richy to be good to score via headers, we do not have a strong player who scores that crunch header goal to push us over the line and missing a goal scoring Avenue altogether 3. Away form - we will be surely competitive against those who play positive football even away but teams which are physical, low blocking and anti football, we need to have a 'Plan B' or win 'ugly'. Madders may not be effective against physical teams as he will be brushed aside. Fans have to be patient and not talk about changing Ange at first sign of trouble. Football is excellent, growth also visible, players also enjoying. We go back 2 years if Ange leaves now 😢
I equate the first half to a boxing match with teams keeping it tight and feeling each other out. Villa landed an early blow when they scored but Spurs grew into the fight and exploded in the later rounds, delivering several knockout blows.
Thanks for the update Barnaby. I think you’re a touch harsh on Dom Solanges getting man of the match. His effort went way beyond the two goals he scored. He pressed and worked his socks off for 100 minutes showing an extraordinary commitment. I think that’s why he got MOTM over Pape Saar. Cheers Joe
Let's not be too reactive if we lose at Galatasary . We don't need it . We need to rest a few players for sure. The injuries are coming thick and fast.
Of course we can all be reactionary from game to game, but if anything, I think the City and Villa wins show even more how right we were to be very critical of the Palace match. The play shown against those two sides makes the Palace no show even more unforgivable. The away form really needs sorting out because it is a legitimate problem and a blocker to moving up the table.
Let’s get it right Son wasn’t playing great, yes he made ONE good assist.. He got the changes right. Son’s legs are gone he’s going to be getting less & less game time. Romero’s injury might be a blessing in disguise.. Davis will do a better job in my opinion!
I think Ben Davies is massively disrespected. 6 out of 10 Ben. Should have been delisted. I think it takes huge professionalism to play one game in 10 & be better than serviceable. I think 7 of 10 is far more respectful. He's delivered massively important blocks & tackles this year.
Have to dump the term 'squad player'. Sounds derogatory to anyone in a profession over a lengthy period of time. And the reason Spurs have never got rid of Davies is precisely because he's reliable. He's just not as quick or as skilled....or as demanding as some of his teammates with more erratic tendencies. I have to say I've no idea what 'Angeball' is supposed to be(despite the endless drivel anywhere on social media supposedly defining it) But it does leave you open to accusations of potential 'match fixing' if you consistently play poorly first half and then trounce the opposition in the second half as has been the case for a while now.
Regarding our position re. Arsenal and our supposed reputation for shipping goals under Angeball, only Man City have a better goal difference than us. By the way, when is our game with Galatasary? It's not listed for next Thursday under the week's fixtures in either the Guardian or Observer but then my two regular liberal papers are crap when it comes to sports coverage. The Grauniad's David Hytner regularly covers Tottenham's games and seems to spend more time waffling or repeating managerial quotes than telling you what actually went on on the field.
I think you might mean 'reactive' rather than "reactionary". Also, "Big Ange Postecoglu" is getting a bit stale. We all know who he is. Big Ange or Postecoglu will do. Otherwise, thanks for your excellent content.

he's been the same for 20 + years mate
I think Ange creates a leaening environment/mentality for the team, where they refine and develop his ideas
Maybe players are getting it too
Solanke, didn’t just score goals against Villa. He worked tirelessly off the ball and deserved the MOTM award.
Spot on with Ben Davis!
It's DAVIES!!!
I like the positive vibes Barnaby.

Cuti injured, Sonny just came back from injury. Its clear cut
Ange is a big believer in players representing country.
COYS! Sarr has to be starting in big games
Sarr, with those long legs and engine, is peaking just at the right time.
Christ not another international break 🫣
These breaks are coming at good times now with many players getting rests or recovery from injury.
Tottenham legends like Son and Davis deserve the respect of a long-term contract to finish their careers with us. We need to show loyalty to those who have given so much for the club. COYS!
Maybe start with showing Ben Davies respect by spelling his name correctly, it's only been ten years.
@@lesliecrawford783😂😂
my bad! stupid autocorrect!! Ben Davies, YES! @lesliecrawford783
I was pleasantly surprised on.how tough Ben Davis is becoming...a mini reinvention of a squad player

I'm still pissed at Richy for not going over the summer. I'm convinced him staying is why the moves Ange spoke about never happened

Those who think he is a one trick pony know nothing about football.
@@bottleneck4593 My thoughts exactly
Id deffo play gentle BEN DAVIES, IN GALATASARY, FOR HIS EXPERIENCE
Sarr reminds me of a slight’ Patrick Viera - has presence, commanding!!

best second half under Ange and I saw the heart in the squad like no other time under Ange.. its made my season so far. Cheers
spot on about Ben Davies, Barnaby
Hate to compare him to a Chelsea player but Sarr starting to look like Ngolo kante❤his engine👌

Part of the point is I do not believe Spurs played poorly in the first half as some have said....simply a matter of growing into the game.
Time for the kids to play this week v Galatasaray.

If only other teams doubled up on Saka at arsenal they would be half as effective.

Ramsey to replace Richarlison ??

Barnaby, we need to improve our PL away form. Our Home crowd lifts the team… we need to get tough enough to succeed away more often..k

Just gotta sort out the keeper on crosses
Son is free to negotiate with other teams in January! Son should leave than triggering the extension!
Richarlison apparently eats fast food too regularly for a professional athlete. Gotta look after himself
