- New video from BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominated group Lady Maisery from their much anticipated new album 'CYCLE'.
Bagpiper's is an old traditional tune from the 1799 William Mittell manuscript and Sheila's 70 was composed by Hannah James for her inspiring Aunt. This track shows Lady Maisery exploring the folk tradition of 'diddling' or mouth music, singing tunes without words.
Film directed and produced by Robin Beatty.
'CYCLE' will be released by RootBeat Records through Proper Music Distribution on 28th October 2016

Determined, confident and joyous, this tune sounds like it came straight from the Earth.
For more music coming straight from the earth, listen to Nadau, another french group singing in Occitan language.
Hello Lady Maisery I love all 3 of you and your singing is amazing.
I discovered you on Radio 4 (Nov. 2022)
One of the best and more intense ensembles of today. Love their work.
Lovely. What fabulous harmonies. Done it again Lady Maisery😊
Listened to this on the commute home. Delicious blend of voices. :)

I saw Lady Maisery at Bristol Folk Festival last evening - what an absolutely fabulous sound. They played this as the last piece of the set which finished off a GREAT performance to perfection!
I think I'm in love with them all!
Just crank this up through some decent headphones and it will put a smile on your face - fabulous!
That's exactly what I do on the way to work. It doesn't half make you march!
