The climax of this game is one of the most batshit insane and amazing things I've ever played and The cutscene right before the credits made me tear up just a little bit
When I heard the tour guide start talking with actual voice acting on the elevator, I knew I was in for a wild ride. I honestly think it just barely tops Robobot and Return to Dream Land in terms of craziness, if only because of that insane elevator ride up to Lab Discovera.
I want to talk about the final boss theme a bit. Specifically the name of the track, because I love the name of the track: It's called "Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit". That's an astronomical term which, if you know what that means, makes the finale both extra cool and extra terrifying. This doesn't describe what happens during the boss itself, but instead what it tries to do afterwards. The term relates to tidal forces. The strength of gravity depends on distance, and at some point the difference in gravitational force between the near side and far side of a celestial body causes it to... break. The Roche limit refers to the distance at which this happens to an orbiting satellite. And, throughout that entire sequence, you can see this starting to happen to both planets. Small pieces of the ground start breaking apart and falling away, pieces of Planet Popstar are raining down on you as you approach, and it grows more and more intense as it goes on. It starts in the background before you even see Planet Popstar, and it's what gives you both the truck and the platforms you drive on to reach Fecto Elfilis. So, yeah, I think it's cool because it uses actual science to some extent, and particularly astronomy which I personally find very interesting. And terrifying because once that portal is open, Fecto Elfilis does not have to do anything at all because the planets do not have to collide to destroy each other, they'll do that just by being that close together.
@@gothiiispiderz Something like that, though actual things ripped apart by tidal interactions with a larger body they orbit don't break in half, they disintegrate into countless tiny pieces and form a ring. That wouldn't happen with two bodies close to each other in size, however, and I don't think they'd be able to completely rip each other apart anyway. The tidal forces from being close together would still pretty effectively destroy the surfaces of both worlds and render them uninhabitable even if they don't collide. A planetary collision would result in the two planets combining into a new planet.
@@jakeroo123 If you haven't noticed, time appears to be much faster in the Forgotten Land (i.e. seconds in Popstar is hours in FL). You can see this in two scenes, one in the intro where the waddle dees which were pulled inside the rift minutes before kirby actually managed to build a town (and get invaded by the beasts). Also, in the end elfilin appears to return to kirby seconds after closing the giant rift, while he states he has been nurtured back to health by clawroline (for more than just seconds). This in turn suggest that gravity is way stronger in Popstar, interestingly.

In terms of other Kirby games, while everyone has their own personal favorites, I think the two most polished games overall are Return to Dreamland and Planet Robobot. If you’re looking for games in the series that are simply solid and provide a lot of replay value, those two are my top recommendations.
The ending for Forgotten Lands goes from 0 - 1000 with the spectacle and it's F$%#@%*g incredible. Like i had this game pegged at about a 6, but the final stage and post game bumped it up to a 9. Easily one of the most badass endings ever, and now my favorite Kirby game.

I don't know if its been said before or not, but there are some unique attacks that sword kirby can do that you only hear about by talking to the blacksmith with the ability. The notable one is the sword slide, the upward slash and the aerial attack. If you hold block and press the attack to do a kick slide, you will instead do a sword slide. Then during the sword slide if you press jump, you will do a upward slash, then if you press the attack again, you will do different attacks based on which version of the sword ability you have. Base sword and gigant sword does a spin and downward lash while meta knight sword does a combo in the air if you keep mashing attack then a downward slash
Marx and Magolor are truly poisoning Choc's mind to not trust any companions ever again lol. Not only does the boat not burning in Kirby not make sense, but neither does the boat in Mario Sunshine either. Sometimes people forget behind all that Gluttony and envy, Dedede does actually care for his subjects very much. Leongar is so cool, and also oh God those poor beast cuties are all devoured!!!
The meta sword is powerful but you haven't seen nothing until you use Space Ranger it's broken it shreds through bosses health especially mini bosses. Honestly all the fully evolved abilities are great for a use in the postgame.
This one is fresher for sure, but I think Star Allies offers more content as well as being a better co-op game even if you're only doing 2 players Forgotten Land is super fun though and easier to get to the absolute end compared to the usual game if that's a concern
Star Allies has higher highs and more postgame content, but Forgotten Land's normal campaign isn't a sleep aid. Pick your poison, but remember that you have to work for Star Allies' fun.

I'd add to focus on the figures last, since you still get figures in much of the completion of other parts, along with special figure rewards for completing specific objectives and such.
This was actually fairly tame for Kirby, surprised it was only two planets in the balance this time
Yeah, there are times when Kirby goes full Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and entire universes are at stake.
@@SBaby That analogy is PERFECT in a certain game...
@@NightmareZerogbs There are two times it happens. The first time is only implied though, but the second time you see the 'full monty' of what's going on.
I love the desert area because if you just take a little time to look around you realise it's a Harbor, Beach Resort, and Deep Sea Trench entirely dried out. "Wasteland where life began" being like the shoreline where land animals first emerged from the ocean.
I’m just saying it would’ve been cooler if there was an 18 wheeler present when gohan killed cell
25:19 why does Elfilis's eyes remind me of the final boss of No More Heroes 2 lol
I 100% ed this game yesterday and it was a tuff but worth it experience that I loved all the way
This game moved from top 30 to top 10 favorite games for me maybe even top 5 if I went and replayed some games that didn't hold up to well
9/10
The only thing I hated was the cafe minigame, SO HARD
@@gam360y true I went from 9200 coins to 7500 coins in the last one alone
In terms of other Kirby games, while everyone has their own personal favorites, I think the two most polished games overall are Return to Dreamland and Planet Robobot. If you’re looking for games in the series that are simply solid and provide a lot of replay value, those two are my top recommendations.
hold L or R and press a, and then press a again and mash B to do a really op move
This is one of my fave lets plays of kIbry. Not overly energetic, just a great chill lets plays of great chill game
Did you see Zack Scott’s playthrough?
I love the SML "It smells like poor in here" audio. As I am a fan of both SML and Choctopus, I love how you combine the two. :)
I think that alot of us would want to see an edited version of your 100% run
The post-game content is very fun to watch.
100-percenting this game was the most fun I've had from games in awhile
The ending for Forgotten Lands goes from 0 - 1000 with the spectacle and it's F$%#@%*g incredible. Like i had this game pegged at about a 6, but the final stage and post game bumped it up to a 9. Easily one of the most badass endings ever, and now my favorite Kirby game.
"Lets upgrade some abilities. _hang on, _*_I'm broke..._*
Me who has half a Million star coins: *_" There isn't enough upgrades"_*
Seriously, I think this game is gonna get some type of DLC soon, because when you get to that point, good luck spending all your money... *_cause you cant._*
99999 is the maximum, but I agree!
I really love King Dedede here. He went from 'stealing Machamp's mouth' to 'A penguin late to Club Penguin.'
So fricken true
This game is a masterpiece ngl
2:11 Someone spoke!!
Finally I have been waiting for the next part
Fun fact: theres a another bosses they are phantom!
Choc: Please exit to the right
Also Choc: Exits left
Caught me off guard definitely got me laughing, thank you
"SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG?"
-choctopus, 2022
Im excited to see you play the rest of the game and btw if you wanna prove you are a real gamer beat the final tournament with no power-ups!
14:48 There was also a show on Cartoon Network years ago called Hole in the wall.
I'm willing to bet that literally no one guessed we would ram a semitruck into god in this game.
0:04 MR GOODMAN!?!!
Kirbo is Good. Kirbo is Life.
I love how genuine your "WHAT THE FUCK?!" was when you saw the fecto forgo
This ending really reminds me of the ending from xenoblade chronicles 2
Marx and Magolor are truly poisoning Choc's mind to not trust any companions ever again lol. Not only does the boat not burning in Kirby not make sense, but neither does the boat in Mario Sunshine either. Sometimes people forget behind all that Gluttony and envy, Dedede does actually care for his subjects very much. Leongar is so cool, and also oh God those poor beast cuties are all devoured!!!
I need to get this game eventually.
Honestly for barbecue sides, i usually stick to kettle cooked potato chips, provides a nice texture contrast with good pulled pork.
Man I love when people get humbled by easy games
Most of the game is easy, but some parts are hard, and ONE minigame is ungodly
Tilt and Roll, Extra Hard, 3 Star.
The meta sword is powerful but you haven't seen nothing until you use Space Ranger it's broken it shreds through bosses health especially mini bosses. Honestly all the fully evolved abilities are great for a use in the postgame.
Not bomb, regretted using it every time I did.
Important Question: Which Kirby Switch Game is Better
Kirby Star Allies or Kirby and the Forgotten Land?
Kirby Star Allies was descent for a 2D Kirby, but this is far more crowd pleasing for Kirby fans alike.
This one is fresher for sure, but I think Star Allies offers more content as well as being a better co-op game even if you're only doing 2 players
Forgotten Land is super fun though and easier to get to the absolute end compared to the usual game if that's a concern
There is no contest forgotten land always wins
Kirby star allies is super easy but its fun to play with friends if ur just looking for a amazing kirby adventure get this
Star Allies has higher highs and more postgame content, but Forgotten Land's normal campaign isn't a sleep aid. Pick your poison, but remember that you have to work for Star Allies' fun.
6:40
It goes in the square hole!
You should do the postgame. It’s really fun.
Fun fact: the huge poisonous frogs in spanish are called Toxicroaks, a pokemon also has the same name
I do reccomend checking out the teased area in the TBC, clearing that is considered the "true ending"
Kirby took "hits like a truck" to a whole new definition
More like “hits *as* a truck”
@@savemeimanobodylostonline4279 you have a point
theres a glitch i like to call *the stairway to hell* because in the final boss in the coliseum where u could use fire dragon or hammer to get outside of bounds go on the the stair case when its orb time and duplicate the boss fight, u can do this alot
4:15 *But meta knight is just misunderstood*
Meta knight: *Goes to war against dreamland because they're too lazy*
