pretty sure I saw them twice as a kid... I remember once at the Bonney Theatre.... pure joy is how I'd put this kind of music... the whole bush dancing thing in the country .... pure joy
I was ten rows back centre stage at this concert. One of the best live bands ever. Never forget Tommy Emmanuel at Ingleburn RSL coming out for an encore and ripping out the best Johnny B Goode you'd ever hear. Every show was a massive party.
Still kicking around as I saw them at the Cat and Fiddle in Balmain on 16 Feb 13. The only people I recognise still in the lineup are Roger Corbet and Dave Newton, the last two to be introduced in this video.
Does anyone know if the video exists from this very concert, that was broadcast on TV the next day? It featured the 'Heel & Toe Polka' with the entire capacity crowd joining in. We were there and it remains one of my favourite memories of my lifetime.
Sorry it has taken so long to read your question but I'd reckon that would be Pixie Jenkins who is a great Aussie fiddler that has appeared many times with "True Blue" John Williamson
iconic Australian band, cant get any better
I remember dancing on the tables at a bushwackers concert with a wine in hand
Saw these guys lots in Melbourne and even in london. At a concert in London the electrics blew up. End of show. Still a fan.

Wow, i went to one of their shows last year and this is one of the first songs they played. It was awesome!

All star show! I had no idea that Tommy Emanuel played with them too

Where’s Jan and Bert. Where are the originals
doesn't start the music until about 2:50 if that's what you're after, as I was.
Sofia Helen
Is that Bruuune-mate from Kingswood Country doing introductions?
Holy crap is that Lex Marinos introducing the band?

I was just about to post the link, but I see you've already found it!
Does anyone know the real name of the former member who was known as 'Pixie'?!?

Harks back to a sound of our colonial past .
Not quite as good as original song featuring Bill Smith.
