    i was almost gonna buy a storm collectibles figure before learning about jada toys, now i'm buying every Jada figure for the following reasons:
    1. the smaller size is good for space (as well as fewer accessories since i mostly display them)
    2. the cheaper price
    3. the promise of completing the characters by Jada (and I also like this classic SF series design than the more modern ones)
    Well, I also have some dislikes about it... the paint isn't that good at times, and the Ryu and Ken belts tend to peel off (so be careful). joints are also chipping and may become loose if being played too much.

    Storm Collectibles look nice but I actually prefer the look of the Jada Toys versions. The Storm versions are an odd size and don’t really fit in with anything other than other Storm Collectibles. You’re not gonna get a Marvel Vs Capcom display out of Storm, they’re generally considered fragile and they cost 3-4 times the price. The Storm versions are heavily stylized and are a dead ringer for the source material but the Jada versions all capture a more classic look.
    The fact that these two wildly different price points are even in contention should tell you what the better deal is.

    • @Freefall347
      @Freefall347 Месяц назад

      @@spadedonemcdysentery2493 I think their reputation for fragility is a holdover from the old days. Yes, the first couple waves of SF and Mortal Kombat figures had issues, but their more recent releases are perfectly fine. But yes, they are more in scale with 7 inch figures, even though Storm calls them 1/12

    Gonna rant here. In terms of which looks better, it is arguably Storm. But in terms of which line I want to collect, it’s Jada. Of course price is the biggest factor, but time is also. As a collector, I want a complete roster of the original 17. By the end of 2025 or early 2026, Jada will give me that complete roster. How long has Storm had the SF license? How long did it take them to get near to completing the O17? Storm kept jumping to different SF games while Jada committed to completing USF2 first where arguably the 017 have their most iconic looks. Then there’s playability. Storm are articulated well, but when a figure gets to anything higher than $50 for me, I tend to treat it as a statue for fear of me breaking it or ruining the paint. I have a few Storm SF figures, and and the ones I have are no longer in production so replacements will be costly on the secondary market. I just pose them on my shelf on occasion. With Jada, I will go crazy, posing them all sorts of ways without fear of damage since they are below $30. All of of the current waves are still easily available at retail also. I can buy double or triple of a character for extras or backup if one breaks. It is too costly with Storm figures for me to do that.
    And then there is this. While one can argue that Storm or Figuarts make better SF figures, no one in their right mind will call Jada SF garbage. Jada SF may not be better than the other companies, but Jada SF is the better line for me to collect.
