- The cabinet committee on economic affairs (CCEA) on 20th Feb approved the methodology for auctioning coal blocks for commercial mining by the private sector. Allowing the private sector to enter coal mining is expected to lift supplies and moderate prices while boosting investment. Non-state coal mining had thus far been allowed only for captive use.
आर्थिक मामलों की कैबिनेट समिति ने कोयला खनन और कारोबार को निजी क्षेत्र के लिए खोलने का फैसला किया है। इससे देश में कोयला उत्पादन बढ़ने और कोयला आयात में कमी आने की उम्मीद है। सरकार का कहना है कि इस क़दम से कोयला क्षेत्र में निवेश और रोज़गार के अवसर बढ़ेंगे।

अभी तक जिन किसानों की जमीन कोल इंडिया में अधग्रहीत किया जा रहा है उन भूमि हीन हो गए किसानों को उचित मुआवजा और कोल इंडिया में नौकरी भी दी जा रही है। अगर बिदेशी कंपनिया यहां खदान कोलने के लिए जमीन अधिग्रहण करती है तो जिनकी जमीन ली जाएगी उनको क्या नौकरी और उचित मुआवजा मिलेगा? पर्यावरण के संबर्धन में इन कंपनियों का क्या योगदान रहेगा।इस सरकार ने अभी तक कोई रेगुलेट्रीग अथारटी नही बना पाई है।

भारत सरकार का एक और अच्छा कदम।।। मैं इस कदम की सराहना करता हूं । लेकिन सरकार को इसे पर्यावरण का भी ध्यान रखना चाहिए। और उसके लिए इसमें कुछ नियम भी बनाए जाने चाहिए

it's better from all perspective...the only thing that govt. needs to do is to keep a watch that these private companies don't cause harm to environment

In private mines exploitation of workers is too much, there welfare is completely ignored, there is no change in there standard of living with minimum wages. Also ultimate profit of coal will go to ambani adani and foreign investors instead it utilized for the welfare of indians.
This decision is completely foolish😒.
Coal block allotment to public & private companies would lead not only to employment but revenue generation by coal India Ltd, which in turn Govt will get for the benefit of the public at large. India will prosper and life upliftment will take place. Coal India is indeed a Maharatna Company whose contribution will be much more to the nation in the prospective way by the Govt. efforts.
Present coal privatization government best policy . but private company Monopoly should not be in this hard

I a mining engineer and geologist now retired as GM coal mines. The total proved coal will take 150 years to exhaust.
Govt does not want and world community will not allow to mine and use coal after some time.but when I don't know.

It's a really nice question but I would like to inform you about the implications and importance of the competition in the market where multiple seller will be trading in a single entity as here it's coal and now when this market of coal under the private and public players are being regulated by a dedicated agency called competition commission of India to look into whether the stakeholders in the market are not involved in any of the manipulative practices to dupe the national interests will serve the results as a more effective,efficient and a more progressive coal industry of India!
The role of government should stay regulatory in nature and competition ensuring + the liberal policies to make ease of doing business a reality is the key to march towards A NEW INDIA!

इन रिपोर्टरों को क्या पता , ड्यूटी से घर आने पर उनका पूरा शरीर कोयले से सना रहता था ,कभी कोयले कि खान में जा कर देखना डर से पिछवाड़े का पसीना मुह में अा जाएगा😠😠😠
Why don't govt recruit new technology and youth instead of this making privatization...is not a good option...
