I bought my Forester a month ago. I've been driving for 40 years, this thing makes me feel pretty much like I'm learning to drive all over again. So thank you for this! I still don't know enough to ask questions like the ones you answered - so helpful!
@@kennycatbox5559 i forgot i left this comment, i would imagine so, but my 2024 wilderness edition does not have the rear camera cleaner feature :( must only be on the 23?
Love that I can make my Subaru lock the doors when I put it in and out of Park. Driving alone in the city at night, I always wondered if my doors were locked or not.
To disable all seatbelt alarms and red blinking icon on the dash....simply cut the ignition to on (not start) and click and unclick the seatbelt 20 times in 30 seconds then turn the key off. They are now Permanently disabled. To re-enable simply do the same procedure over to bring them back. This worked on my 2024 forester Sport
@@syedsamad8521 airbag light illuminates during initial key cycle when you start the car just like normal. No reason for them to be tied together. I still wear my seatbelt. Im just sick of the stupid thing dinging like crazy. I check my mail when I come home from work and I don't want to have to click my seatbelt to drive 50 foot in my driveway. Extremely annoying.
Why does the sunroof go that far back and not finish going all the way to begin with. It's not like it's halfway. The damn thing goes 95% and stops. I believe it's a dumb feature.
@@gigharbourite That doesn't permanently defeat it. you have to press that button every drive cycle. I've had my car shut off randomly in traffic. If that feature didn't exist, I'm sure I wouldn't have this problem.
@@kennycatbox5559 gotta disable every time you start it. it wont shut off at all though if you have heat or air cranked to the max. I shut the auto start stop off along with traction control out of habit now.
First feature is awesome! thanks so much for the tip, i'm gonna try it with mine ASAP

i did 4 1/2 months of research before I bought mine and didn't know about the rear camera cleaner, thanks man.
Rear cam cleaner is same knob as rear window cleaner, yes?

@billpullen9627 really? I would think it should.. did u try putting in reverse with brake on and cleaning rear window, and looking at cam?
@@kennycatbox5559 yes but there is also no hole to be found anywhere around the cam either.
@@billpullen9627 damn. And you'd think the Wilderness would need that most outta all tge trims
Like that the auto door lock is customizable to some extent.
2024 forester sport-there are 3 driving modes? I, S, S#??
Howxto toggle between them? Only have I and S# buttons
awesome video. Do you knkw how to enable the traffic sign recognition on Forester 2023! Thanks😊
The tailgate memory height is useful if you have cargo on top that hangs a little too far back and a fully extended tailgate would scrape on to it.
Surf Board!
My 2024 Forester Wilderness has the lock button on the bottom of the hatch. Can this remote code be done with the hatch open?

How do you disable backseat seatbelt alarm?

@ do you think it might disable the airbags as well? The guy at the Subaru dealership told me it could be connected to the airbags but he wasn’t sure.

4:13 lol that almost looks inappropriate ;] ha ha ha
Did not know the sun roof could go back that far.

1:50 lol "battery dies"... if that happens no matter the secrete code it will not let you in dude ;]
I think he meant the battery in the FOB.
Correct
Not working. All I’m doing is standing here looking dumb as my hatch keeps opening and closing. What am I missing?
What model year and trim do you have?

Don’t use the latch button, look all the way to the right there’s another small button, use that one@@heavydpj
being able to turn off the #*&@$# start/stop feature would be great. That alone means I won't purchase another subaru.
There is a button on the Left for that.

"Hey, what's going on" is Not cool or hip. It's just dumb. Once you say that you have lost all credibility.
