4:55 People with intellectual disabilities can still feel all the same things everybody else feels. The way they express it can be different and maybe they find it hard to express it at all, sure... But that doesn't mean they don't feel these things. I know he had good intentions but this is one of the reasons I think disabled people should be the ones playing disabled characters. (Still one of my favourite movies but I just wanted to say this for anybody who thought this myth was true)
they had interviews with ppl w disabilities but this role requires physical activity that cannot guarantee they'll be safe. the ppl in the psychiatric center at the end are ppl w disabilities irl
