Fascinating! Two artists who had completely different approaches: Kiri, controlled and composed; Gwyneth, giving 200% to every phrase, often to the detriment of her voice. But I've always felt that Jones was a great artist, and wondered what other artists thought of her. Kiri is very generous in her praise, but doesn't pull any punches. And they were both the greatest Marschallins I've ever seen - greater even than Ludwig or Fleming.
