- Tarwe dorsen bij akkerbouwbedrijf van der Sluis in Klaaswaal (Z-H) met een prachtige Claeys / Clayson M103 combine uit 1961.
Cutting winter wheat using a good old Claeys / Clayson M103 combine build in 1961. Filmed during the 2014 harvest.
Thanks for watching!
The Claeys M103 was the first tanker combine my grandfather had when he farmed at Clifton Hampden, Oxon. Was tenant there from 1918 to 1972 when the passed away. Were we impressed with the machine! Corn went into pit, up to a cleaner and then bagged in corn sacks which were collected by grain merchants from Abingdon. Brings a lump to my throat!
Great video!!! Keep these old machines coming!!
That combine is older than dirt. Remarkable it still runs. Good looking wheat to boot.
love it to see the old machinese still work
It looked like the combine was working well except for the steering. :) Might need some ball joints after decades of use because I'm sure there is no power steering. Thanks for sharing these old combines for the last two days.
Destijds veel tijd op een identieke combine doorgebracht van mijn familie De Rooij. Mooi geluid, 6 cilinder Ford meen ik mij te herinneren.
Nice old combine from year 1961 !! Very nice video !! Agrain !! :)))
Mooie video.
Very nice. Must take a very dedicated mechanic to keep this machine in good operating condition. I really like to see vintage machines doing real farming.
+jimgo49 At least you could do it all yourself
Debt free farming with older machines. Note the arm strong steering had kept you fit as I'd personally had logged up many hours on much the same combine in much rougher conditions.
That's the size of combine I grew up with in Idaho. We thought we had it made when we bought our Case that had a cab. Still drove with the door open though, no a.c.
Mooie video hoor!
And another 100 years will work :)
prachtig , draait nog zeer goed
Going back to the future! These smaller machines will be making a big come back in the future, as the big agro conglomerates will be forced to downsize or go out of business. The very large farms will become smaller operations, where these machines will come back into their own. It is the wave of the future for farming.
How’s that prediction working out five years down the line?
Niiice video!
Very nice
Wow, I have no idea how you'd even find parts for that.
I think that is the first harvester I've seen that had grain conveyors instead of augers. Is that very common?
in Rusland deze rooier is bekend als SC-4,dat is zelfrijder met een werkende breedte van 4 meter
Super :)
wow one slip and into all those blades.
did he have a full tank after every pass?
+Kathy Mackey yes, cutting 3m wide on a 400 meter long field and a 1300lt grain tank
Laatste boer met verstand in nederland
Nice 5/5
makes a modern JD look like its doing nothing compared to all these moving external parts :P
tidy john deere se there nice to see that one working
When you are harvesting with these old Machines, aren't you loosing to much wheat?
+Pease bros lol no maybe 2-5%
+Pease bros The crop recovery rate is a bit better for the older machines! The newer machines operate under a computer controlled system and are slow to compensate for quickly changing field/crop conditions. Whereas the older machines under human control can react almost instantaneously. The only drawback is the older machines operate at a slower pace.
Oh, ok Thx for these informations
Used one from 1988 until 2000. No grain lost, never green stripes in the fields over the winter.
you are from USA
Agro Niegolewo netherlands actually. not everyone with a youtube channel is american
@@crazyyoutubeuser2444 No they aren't, and you can usually tell by the stink of smugness wafting off of them.
Have a clayson 133 that does all our barley.
my 130 has a massive 12 foot cut
pah! Who needs air conditioned cabs and satellite guidance. All you need is a face mask...
That looks dangerous. Hit a rut and you could end up in the machine.
good advice cause that would be a bad way to go
good advice cause that would be a bad way to go
good advice cuz that would be a bad way to go
Cant imagine a 12hr shift on that, sore bum I guess.
is it that dusty that he has to have a mask on?
+lorieneater No i is not. Wear it 4 style.
+lorieneater i operated a similar combine ,if the barley was over ripe it would cut the face of you not alone the dust
@@johngrealy5566 If the wind was up your chuff you would get covered. Barley awns down your back unless you wore a scarf round the neck. I used to go home black, and that was just dinner time, never mind about the end of the day!
Belgium Power 👌👌👍👍😂😂
kkkkkkkk essa é antiga

+Archie_haz_swag _ ok sorry
