For anyone that's here after Mac's death, you know how diverse he really was as an artist. He had a lot of life left in him in a lot of music to still create. The next couple of years would have been some of Mac's greatest work, and it's a shame that will never get to experience it. Rest in peace to Malcolm
I know how you feel, however, I feel like he really outdid himself on Swimming. It's almost as in it was all meant to be, as if he knew. He grew so much and I'm so glad we can still enjoy his music. Great, great loss but I hope he is finally doing well and has found his peace.
Same here I started listening like Jan 2019 (Probs a bit earlier as that was the date it was added to my all playlists in one) but there were a couple songs I liked before he passed and he was one of those artists I had on my list to check out as I knew he did some Jazz style type rap but I didn't know he was the king at it, I'm kicking myself that I didn't listen to more sooner as he was the exact type of artist I was looking for Hip-Hop/Rap is my main Genre but Jazz (and '50s Music, Since Fallout is my Fav Game Series lol) is second to that and Mac blended hip-hop and Jazz so well, He's a massive inspiration to me and like you said he has done so much for me too. To quote Mac from his Tiny Desk Concert "Music is a beautiful thing" (If anyone who has read this far hasn't seen the Tiny Desk Performance from Mac stop everything and go watch that)
i love this song but its a totally different song with the live band, its crazy how good it sounds with real instruments. the flow as well in this version is just beautiful
Same with 'Objects in the Mirror' The Space Migration session. SK on twitter tweeted it out the video ages ago and I checked it out myself on then added it to my playlist. Both are beautiful but like you say it's something about the live instruments and the changes of flow just make it that more better. I always come back to 'Objects in The Mirror' version as it's perfect to smoke to lol. If you haven't seen it already, which I'm guessing you probably have at this point but watch Mac's 'Tiny Desk Concert' hell even if you have seen it but not in a while this is your sign to rewatch it lol and to quote Mac in that performance 'Music is a Beautiful thing'
I like this version way better than the original, mostly because of the vibe from Internet goes so well with Mac's sound. Mac keep doing this for your next project as well. You have shown so much improvement on Watching Movies album. The production was mind blowing! :)
I love when Mac raps, his flow is good but he did damn good at singing this song too. Changing the tempo and flow of a song n it's still good? Mac is a beast
These performances are some of my favourite I hate myself for sleeping on Mac I loved the couple of songs I had heard and he was on my list of Artists to check out since I knew he made some Jazz vibe type stuff and after listening to most of his projects (I'm keeping some so I can have some new Mac Miller if I have a bad day lol) but after listening he was exactly the artist I was looking for with the way he blended genres. I hope up in heaven he is getting to work with all the Legends that died way too soon, I wonder if the streets are paved with Gold and I wonder if that brand new venue next to that restaurant we all love their menu but I hope that venue is an arena for 'Rolling Loud: In Heaven' or something where when it's my time to go I can head to and see all the legends I was too young / anxious to travel alone to see and for the legends that I learned more about after they passed. I do feel that we won't be driving Mercedes tho as they have an odd history from mid 1930's-mid 1940's. Rest In Peace to Mac!
Mac was a young guy dying only at age 26 but being in the spotlight since 17-18 years old he really spent half of his short life in the music industry. He was really coming into his own sound over the albums from Faces onwards. The beats became more organic, the lyrics became more experimental, and it was like he took those early indie inspirations and samples and made his own. I found it amazing looking back on how much of Mac's discography he produced himself. He was a talented Bass player, Guitar Player, Drummer, and Ableton (as he says in this track). There's plenty of videos of him really shredding on his guitars and drums. He went in 100%. I was a huge fan in the early years and over time lost touch as my musical interests drifted but I would check out big songs when his new albums came out. For some reason I lost interest not knowing how incredible his art was. I just listened to reviews (*Fantano cough*) and assumed his music was mid. Turns out I was dead wrong. I usually don't just take a reviewers opinion. Anyways I hate to say it but it was only after Mac's death that I came to appreciate his ENTIRE discography rather than KIDS and some of his earlier projects. Fortunately I was all the way in for The Divine Feminine because I love Anderson Paak and Dang! is a dang good song and music video. It put me back on to Mac a bit. Mac was a true blue artist. Always had a smile on but behind that smile and contagious laugh he had a lot going on in his mind. He made everyone around him feel better and played things off like no big deal. He was incredibly humble for someone so accomplished especially when so many of his contemporaries really fell off. He LIVED music. He's not the only one to live the music he made but he's the only one who did it the way he could and it's incredible. I'm so grateful for the art, the music, the interviews, and how much Mac shared about his experience of life and philosophy. He was just a bit younger than me but I always felt like I could relate to him and admired his technical flow from Kool-Aid & Frozen Pizza and Nikes onwards. Ok rant over. RIP Mac. We will miss you to infinity and hopefully someday we will see you up in heaven and kick some incredibly dope sht with Jesus. All love in the memories.
I'm convinced this man was an old soul. Maybe a saint in a past life. He was in a praying position when they found his body. He was such an incredible soul. Still is..I love him so much. 🤍🌺☀️

Mac's passing affecting me more than my grandparents passing. I love my grandparents but they where very old and near their end but mac was young and had a bright future. Mac was supposed to go on tour and I was gonna go see him live but he passed before I ever got the chance. seriously used to dislike mac but this whole band thing is making me actually like him...he should listen to what everyone is saying and keep doing THIS
honestly mac needs to make his next album using these guys for the production, a live studio album like this would be so sick. I always thought the raps were sick, but kinda hated the beat on this song, and this version just kills it
For anyone that's here after Mac's death, you know how diverse he really was as an artist. He had a lot of life left in him in a lot of music to still create. I like this version way better than the original, mostly because of the vibe from Internet goes so well with Mac's sound. Mac keep doing this for your next project as well. You have shown so much improvement on Watching Movies album. The production was mind blowing! :)
i would say such an improvement from macadelic and blue slide park because watching movies was a decent hip hop album
I love when Mac raps, his flow is good but he did damn good at singing this song too. Changing the tempo and flow of a song n it's still good? Mac is a beast
Tight to see yall supporting him back in the day when he was alive

You've gotten me & the people around me through so much, there will never be another sound like yours. A true genius with a heart of gold, rest easy Mac.
kinda hard to type with tears on my keyboard
Legit sounds like Rage.
Tyme Wazter he kinda does once I think about it
this music too beautiful for this type of wordplay
Verse 1]
Yeah, yeah, yeah, uh, yeah
Said, close my eyes before I cross the street
If a car about to hit me, then he ought to beep
Watching Dawson's Creek 'til I fall asleep
It's harder than it seems, I'm under water in my dreams
Yes, I’m in awe, this jigsaw, puzzles not complete
I'm just an idea, nothing concrete
I Came to raise limits, get higher than plane engines
They tryna change with us, but come to the same difference
So, shut your pie-hole, I'm dope and I know
My voice sound like it was a sample off a vinyl
I don't mind those hatin' on my style
I tend to take the high road, get stoned and fly low
Said, I'm no god, I don't think that I'm a human, though cause I'm so odd
People sellin' drugs cause they can't find no job
Wonder if Christ made a million off selling the cross
Okay, let bygones be bygones, my mind strong as pythons
The day that I die on will turn me to an icon
Search the world for Zion or a shoulder I can cry on
The best of all time, I'm Dylan, Dylan, Dylan
[Bridge]
Do something please
Said, somebody do something please
Said, said, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody do something please, said somebody do something please!
Yeah, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, yeah..
[Verse 2]
Like I was majored in whiskey flavouring
When I'm drunk, I'll cut your head off, leave it dangling
FlyLo's still tryna put me on to Ableton
Asian women love me, I look like David Duchovny
In kindergarten, used to put some condoms in my cubby
In case one of these hoes was tryna fuck me
Said, I ain't nobody, and neither are you
Been contemplating if I even still believe in the truth
I'm so stubborn, I'd rather write my own history book
Where the world don't give a fuck 'bout how you physically look
Hell na'
All your songs are sixteen's and a hook
We're here to reinvent music, it's time for the revolution
I'm down for this movement, trying not to lose it
Jewish Buddhist tryna consume the views of Christianity
Wonder if Hindus like to eat fish soup
If it's true, they should hit Alaska in an igloo
I hear the fish biting nice right now
I can't figure out life and feel right right now
So, if I think it, I should say it, there's a reason that I write it down
Spit the shit that leave a diaper brown, that's yeah poop, poop
[Bridge]
Somebody do something
Somebody do something
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, do something please, somebody do something please!
Somebody do something, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody do something please
Said, somebody do something please, yeah
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody do something
[Outro]
Somebody do something please
Somebody do something please
Said, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody do something please
Somebody do something please
Thank you! He's spittin with the best now RIP
Thank you
gracias
