I really liked this review, i don't usually to comment but man! u do a great review, not only about technics knowledge, but you show the details, a lot of details, thanks dude!
I like your contents, they're unbiased, very informative and practical. More power to your channel. One request, give us at least 2 - 3 videos per week if I'm asking too much. Thanks
Wow! That was an excellent review man! It definitely is a handsome case. I own the s340 myself and was slightly jealous upon seeing this but I'm not sure as if I actually would prefer this case. I really don't like super tight squeezes for my cables and that drive cage looks like it would make me very annoyed! We'll see what people think after a few more builds are posted. Thanks for your time. Great info!
Great video! Love the looks of this case. Only thing I could recommend is to set your camera to manual mode when shooting timelapses or b-roll. Auto will sometimes change exposure on the fly and can make it seem less smooth and consistent. Keep up the great work!
You have a great presentation style and I appreciate your in depth reviews. One other thing that I'd say about the clear side panel is that it actually shows the LED strips instead of just the glow from them. I kind of want a case that hides things like that with its side panel.
Just got this case and finished my build last week, it's amazing! It's so well designed that I would honestly have to try in order to make a messy cable build. The cons regarding the bottom shrouds are a little irrelevant as you only need to remove them to add PSU cables or replace the PSU altogether, which doesn't happen often. Drives are swapped in from the back without having to remove any shrouds. When building, install the PSU and close up the bottom before installing the mobo and you'll have zero issues. To me, the thing that really sets this apart from the S340 in terms of looks is the feet. They're pushed right out to the corners, giving it a pretty beefy stance.. the S350 looks awkward with the recessed feet.
Literally you're the first person commenting such action, i have to admit i didn't even thought it myself, is there any reason why no reviewers throw out the idea of installing the PSU/HDD first and closing up the shrouds before installing the mobo?, i just don't get how no one point this out before...
Not sure if anyone else has pointed this out within the comments already but the 400 can actually accommodate 3x 120mm fans (not just 2, as you stated in your video) in the front and only 2 (as you mentioned) 140mm fans.
I've had this case for over a month now. I had no issues fitting 3x120mm in the front. I also had no issue putting in h100i GTX on the top. Just make sure you don't have huge RAM heat spreaders.
I was referring to placing a radiator up front, not just fans. Additionally, anything other than bare RAM would prevent large radiator mounting up top. These are the things I was referring to.
There's a matte version but it does have the red/blue highlights on some parts which doesn't really matter since it's still pretty much black. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146197
I have this case. It’s attractive and sturdy. I like the handle in the panel. It’s easy to work in, I have the best cable management in this case and it's my all-0time favourite. What I don't like: the recalcitrant shrouds, the difficult-to-remove front panel and the magnets on the top filter all came unglued! Would I recommend it back then? Yes. Would I buy it again? Yes. Of course, all of this is moot since you can't buy it anymore. Unless you can find one in good condition used.
Good review. My only issue, is your issue with the hard drive cage. I have the same amount of cables and I managed to route them all so they weren't in the way of the HDD bay. I don't agree, also, with your issue with cable management. Although other cases have more room, as long as you put in time, effort, and cable ties, you can close the side panel no problem. Apart from that, good review and lovely setup.
Same here, the biggest complaint for me is the basement compartment and the back side for cable management. I have 2HDD so it's hell to even try to fit the cables around there.
Thanks for his. It looks stunning and nice colour for the PSU cover. I've been looking for a case which would accept the Asus Strix B350-F. Ryzen 2600 but the most important factor the cooler. It would be either the Cooler Master V8 GTS or the Noctua NHD-15. They all seem to fit with about 5 to 9mm to spare. Any thoughts? Great review.
which do you prefer NZXT S340 or Corsair 400C? I noticed in your recent videos you change back to NZXT S340. Btw you do great reviews and videos keep it up :D
I love it however it is a dust magnet and scratches super duper easy... i wonder if threres a way to get tempered glass installed into the side as a mod
+gazmend hajzeri remember theres no optical drive. so no more using discs unless you buy an external. also i recommend buying the hue+. that case benefits well from rgb
how is its noise compared to others? Looking at a small atx case(was looking at matx orginally) but Im really picky about noise(dampening). I already got a itx case but I dont like all the noise. I got a really cheap (white) version reserved. But between the static(Im not that good at vacuuming all the time):p and no sound damping Im bit on the fence.
This case and others like it are missing the optical drive bay. Optical discs are not obsolete yet, so I can't see why they would be excluded. Of course you can get external optical drives, but that takes up an external I/O port.
maybe the scratches you can get with s340 when clean the window. I have that case and is shit. Paint glossy is shit and Window is shit. Worst buy I ever made sorry for the bad english
are the white leds included with the fans? great custom color job btw! would love to see a video toutorial of when you do all components :) . Modding hardware is really interessting but, not many videos around :( . How is the 400C in sound level? . Great review btw. Subbed
+Syvro i did check google but the black version is the only thing that was shown and nothing saying if or when a white version is going to be released.
Just bought this case. Reason? Well it's beautiful, has support for all the hardware I need and I don't have to take an angle grinder to it in order to mount a radiator. -glares at current TT Versa H22 with tumor like growth at the top that is my H100i.-
just recently upgrade to s340 elite, really good update from Original one I feel like I'm gonna use it forever lol, this Cassing seems really similar, but cable management and expansion slot wise I prefer s340, good review tho
This case is really nice but I still prefer the s340 as the window hides the power supply cover and it hides cables better but my main problem with the s340 is it is gloss finish instead of matte
1:41 you can fit a radiator just fine because it's for liquid CPU cooling therefore there will be no huge heatsink in the way :) btw this channel has really grown I've been around here since like 30 subscribers!
+GalaxyShockZ Oh I'm sure you can fit a radiator, but what I said was that I wouldn't try it! Even without the cooler, it'll be right against your motherboard heat sinks.
If the radiator should be mounted at the front then would you recommend front intake and back & top exhaust? I thought radiator blowing into the fan would create hot air?
its a great case, my problem it that scratches aren't removable due to the side being acrylic. really annoying. are their any tampered glass panels for the 400c ?
I just bought the hyper 212 evo today for my build with this case (I haven't purchased the case yet) and I am considered about the lack of space it would have. How much space was there, and what would be a better alternative?
I have this Case I love it, great case has everything you need however I removed the power supply Plastic cover thing. Apart from that it's great and easy to cable manage :)
bro bro how many fans u can put in this case including the radiator fans? and also which case should I get this carbide or the nzxt s340 (I want to put probably like 6 or 4 fans? I don't know but including the radiator fan, a fan that u can put in the back and front) thank ya so much bro!
I'm going to get the white edition, just because my components are all black/white, and i hope it'll look stunning :) But in the end it comes down to your preferences
hey, great review, how easy scratched is the acrylic window? As the one on my define r5 gets scratched so easily which is why I am looking around for another case.
Nice video very helpful. I have some constructive criticism, not hate. Maybe consider changing your Profile picture, it will make your channel look A LOT more professional. Otherwise, keep it up man. You are doing great
That part about having a rad on the top part didn't make any sense. When you moved your hand up and down, you were being obstructed by the large cpu cooler you would need if you were water cooling. Otherwise, I like the video.
Science Studio Oh - ok. However, your lack of even vague revealing clothing meant I could not really understand you, so that is ultimately the issue, I feel.
hey, I know it's been months, but this case just came out in my country, I'm interested to buy it, but I got a few questions, hope you don't mind 1. I have similar rig like in your vids, CoolerMaster EVO 212X with 2 fans attached on it, and Asus Z97Pro mobo, not exactly your mobo, I know, but the heatsink shape, placement and size pretty much the same. question: although the clearance looks like pretty narrow on the vid, but I can still put two 140mm fans for exhaust on top, right? it won't hit the mobo heatsink or anything? how much cm is the clearance? hopefully more than 2.5cm (the fan thickness) 2. for the fan setting the front panel, I know it's either 2x 140mm or 3x 120mm, but can I install em like 2x 140mm + 1x 120mm? will they fit there? or should I install 3x 120mm instead so whole front panel is covered with fans. is this better or? 2x 140mm would leave some empty space on the front panel (namely the most top part). I want the HDD get airflow too (still use 3.5" HDD so yeah, gotta use that drive bay), so one fan must be positioned on the very bottom and btw how's the cooling/airflow of this case? good? I won't use water cooling, strictly still using air cooling due to budget, so it's all about fans and airflow. hope this case is good. most buyer's reviews wrote good, though there's one guy wrote.. hotter in Newegg. so I don't know which is which. this is crucial as I live in tropical so cooling is vital 3. the 2 included fans out of the box, what's the connector? 3 pin (DC, to mobo)? 4 pin (PWM, to mobo)? 4pin molex (to PSU molex)? I'm guessing 3 pin (DC to mobo)? since it's Corsair AF series and I checked their site of that type, it's 3pin oh yeah, lastly, nice vids, nice to watch unbiased and honest review :D thanks
The PSU/HD cover is NOT superbly executed. Would also like half an inch more space between it and the mainboard. Would also like a little bit more space at the back so that getting the backpanel on would go more smoothly. Lots of cables and all ending up in the same area. Got it at a good price and it more or less does what it is supposed to :) First case Ive had that has no room for DVD
+Friedrich Steiner I think that none of the cases available comes with LED lighting at least in this price point. Though it doesn't have any you have to buy it separately.
"Little bit of mustard! Send this guy to pimp my pc pronto!"- Kyle of Awesomesauce Network. Haha seriously but just kidding. Great looking pc. Some white cable extensions would make this 10 out of 10 gorgeous though. Thanks for the review im deciding between this and the closed panel version of its bigger brother.
I really liked this review, i don't usually to comment but man! u do a great review, not only about technics knowledge, but you show the details, a lot of details, thanks dude!
Thanks for watching!
video format just keeps getting better!
Thank you for noticing!

Looking directly from the side, LED strips are still completely hidden.
Love your channel dude! Just bought this case after seeing your review
Great comparison but I'm about to build my first using the S340. Next time might consider this!
Excellent review. I bought this, had all of the same problems but still love it. I do wish it was glass
Just got this case and finished my build last week, it's amazing! It's so well designed that I would honestly have to try in order to make a messy cable build. +Rene Pena You'll love it!
I've had this case for over a month now. I had no issues fitting 3x120mm in the front.

I actually have Ripjaw Vs with the H100i GTX. It's a tight squeeze but it fits.
+Laxxium But the heat spreaders aren't very ostentatious - where it will make a difference is in the case of the TridentZ series, etc.
i wish the S340 wasn't glossy black. matte for life
there is something know as paint m8 ;)
There's a matte version but it does have the red/blue highlights on some parts which doesn't really matter since it's still pretty much black.

i ended up buying the NZXT manta. hopefully it's not shit.
Nah, that's a great case! If only it had mATX support, I would've gotten that one too as well

amazon just emailed me and said it's going to be here tomorrow. now i just need the fucking 1080 to be available for purchase. :(

It's a BIG issue for me. I had one inch of clearance between my hard drive cage and power supply. Not enough.
Hey man, great vid. :D Are those 120mm fans on the front of the 400c? Or is it 140mm?
Same here, the biggest complaint for me is the basement compartment and the back side for cable management. I have 2HDD so it's hell to even try to fit the cables around there.

i bought this case because of this review thanks :D

i have this case its awesome
Is there anything you would change or something you don't like?
+gazmend hajzeri cable management can be a little tight but well worth it
+_ alchemik Anything more? if not then it's not a big deal for me. i am planning on getting this.
+gazmend hajzeri remember theres no optical drive. so no more using discs unless you buy an external. also i recommend buying the hue+. that case benefits well from rgb

Portable optical drive. There's your solution. Diskless is the future. It's inevitable.
Nothing beats the clean perfect look of an S340.
maybe the scratches you can get with s340 when clean the window. I have that case and is shit. Paint glossy is shit and Window is shit. Worst buy I ever made
sorry for the bad english
Compra Venta Woah dude
Compra Venta the Elite version at least doesn't succumb to scratches as easily as the non-Elite version.
How did you paint the bottom interior in white? what paint did you use?
Hey, did you paint the shroud with PlastiDip like you said in your tutorial, or did you use other paint?
Keep up the good Videos!

I already have videos covering the painting process.
i ended up noticing 3 mintues after posting this comment :) . thx for reply tho! i like your channel. subbed :)
I would've totally chose this case over the S340 if it came in white.
+Syvro no there isn't
+Syvro plus im in the US not the UK, i haven't seen them stated anything about a white version
+Syvro i did check google but the black version is the only thing that was shown and nothing saying if or when a white version is going to be released.
there is a white version

A big like from me to you mate. Really great video. Greats from NY :)
A big thanks from Louisiana for watching!
I got one of these used for £40/$52. Waiting on other parts but I find myself opening and closing the panel just because I can.
Great review
This case is just perfect... the white one especially
its a great case, my problem it that scratches aren't removable due to the side being acrylic. really annoying. are their any tampered glass panels for the 400c ?
i frickin love the aesthetic, this case is literally my backup case if i can't get the H440
H440 is kinda over used and old i wouldn't go for that
ChazzDesigns I agree, I once considered the H440 but I'm glad I went with the S340 Elite instead
Im a bjg fan kf this channel. I hope you blow up. Good luck!
Much appreciate, mate.

You paint the the down part?, looks very nice, what color spray you used for paint that, tell me please

I'm going to get the white edition, just because my components are all black/white, and i hope it'll look stunning :)
But in the end it comes down to your preferences
hey, great review, how easy scratched is the acrylic window? As the one on my define r5 gets scratched so easily which is why I am looking around for another case.
All acrylic windows scratch that easily.
Nice video very helpful. I have some constructive criticism, not hate. Maybe consider changing your Profile picture, it will make your channel look A LOT more professional. Otherwise, keep it up man. You are doing great
I'm sorry, but my profile picture will remain as is :-)
That part about having a rad on the top part didn't make any sense. When you moved your hand up and down, you were being obstructed by the large cpu cooler you would need if you were water cooling. Otherwise, I like the video.
I couldn't reach the heat sinks on the motherboard or the tops of the DIMMs, but that was what I was referring to .
Science Studio Oh - ok. However, your lack of even vague revealing clothing meant I could not really understand you, so that is ultimately the issue, I feel.
* Vaguely revealing, I meant - like a tank top. Whatever - vaguely flirtatious joke failure. :-P
Would you recommend this case or the NZXT H440?
Best case ever great for 1st builds
might be a little more stylish then s340 but have you seen the s340 elite with the full glass side panel ?
RoxerPro The elite white version is what I'm getting tbh
Does it have a good airflow and temperatures with only fans and no radiator?
Can't decide between 400c or pro m acrylic , you have had both what do you think I should go for ?
+Patrik Radelj I went with the 400c hopefully it works out well :) thanks for the feedback though dude
hey, I know it's been months, but this case just came out in my country, I'm interested to buy it, but I got a few questions, hope you don't mind
1. I have similar rig like in your vids, CoolerMaster EVO 212X with 2 fans attached on it, and Asus Z97Pro mobo, not exactly your mobo, I know, but the heatsink shape, placement and size pretty much the same. question: although the clearance looks like pretty narrow on the vid, but I can still put two 140mm fans for exhaust on top, right? it won't hit the mobo heatsink or anything? how much cm is the clearance? hopefully more than 2.5cm (the fan thickness)
2. for the fan setting the front panel, I know it's either 2x 140mm or 3x 120mm, but can I install em like 2x 140mm + 1x 120mm? will they fit there? or should I install 3x 120mm instead so whole front panel is covered with fans. is this better or? 2x 140mm would leave some empty space on the front panel (namely the most top part). I want the HDD get airflow too (still use 3.5" HDD so yeah, gotta use that drive bay), so one fan must be positioned on the very bottom

3. the 2 included fans out of the box, what's the connector? 3 pin (DC, to mobo)? 4 pin (PWM, to mobo)? 4pin molex (to PSU molex)? I'm guessing 3 pin (DC to mobo)? since it's Corsair AF series and I checked their site of that type, it's 3pin
oh yeah, lastly, nice vids, nice to watch unbiased and honest review :D thanks
The PSU/HD cover is NOT superbly executed. Would also like half an inch more space between it and the mainboard. Would also like a little bit more space at the back so that getting the backpanel on would go more smoothly. Lots of cables and all ending up in the same area. Got it at a good price and it more or less does what it is supposed to :) First case Ive had that has no room for DVD
no dude
s340 elite still rocks
it's so sleek and looks simple though great
i have this case and that cooler. how is your aiflow set up?
Next Upgrade: Channel Logo, Channel Intro, and Background Screen Saver. That outro is nice tho. :D
My channel logo and intro will remain as is for the time being :-)
Great Video, Already subbed
Is the lighting of this case already included or you need to add it by yourself?
+Vinnkuu Eagleman add it your self
I would really like someone to build a top radiator mounted 400c. 120mm fan radiator that comes with corsair's very own h100iv2.
I would really like to see this case in full white or red
How difficult it is to route the 6pin cable for the CPU through that opening in the corner?
what would u recomend guys? This or phanteks eclipse p400s with tempered glass?
how many meters is the NZXT LED kit? 1 or 2?
answer to me! fast..
this case is now available in white also i prefer a larger version of this casee but the 600c is reverse atx why corsair why
Should Get a Modular or Semi modular Psu. Due to the cable management
Fully Modular ftw
Phanteks Eclipse P400s vs Corsair Carbide 400c vs NZXT H440
Which one is worth my money?
+Adrian Doza the H440 if u have the money, but if u have only the choice between the 400c and the p400, go for the 400c
Having a hard time choosing this case or the jonsbo Rm3.
I hate that its impossible to replace the window,on the S340 i put a GLASS window on the case and its 100 times better than the acrylic!
good presentation
but what about optical drives and all that? i sure love this case but when i heard about that.. :/
Could you elaborate how did you repaint the shroud in white?
bought this case around 2 weeks ago paid £80 for it ....... and i love it can be a bit noisy but tbf think that may be my cpu fan
What kind of paint did you use on the Shroud for this case? I'd like to paint mine as well
Roberto Salazar what did you ended up using?? i want to paint mine too. did you sanded it first?
How did you paint the Graphics card and is it a sapphire card?
Hello Friend . Does that Corsair 400 already come with the white LEDs?
marcelo oliveira it does not
Can i put 2x140mm frontal fans + 2x120mm on top + 1x120mm back ?
No space for DVD/BluRay drive?
the s340's acrylic side is extremely scratch-able too.. was hoping this would be better..
Yes, even 'touching' the S340's window will leave a canyon in the plastic.
What brand and model is your glasses?
does it come with the LED lightings? or you have to buy it separately?
+Friedrich Steiner I think that none of the cases available comes with LED lighting at least in this price point. Though it doesn't have any you have to buy it separately.
What did you used to paint the stuff white in the case and do you need primer for white
Does the led lights come with it??
+Limekillen123 No.
can you run a push-pull set up with the radiator in the front, is there enough clearence?
Not enough room for that. Only one set of either push or pull config.
How many fans does it come with?
please someone reply...why would I "stuff a radiator up here" with a "air cooler"?
"Little bit of mustard! Send this guy to pimp my pc pronto!"- Kyle of Awesomesauce Network. Haha seriously but just kidding. Great looking pc. Some white cable extensions would make this 10 out of 10 gorgeous though. Thanks for the review im deciding between this and the closed panel version of its bigger brother.
+GoneKiffen I appreciate the view!
for my first build what is better this or aerocool Ls-5200??Please someone nerdy and cool reply.
I've just got rid of my s340 for free, it's one of best cases ever BUT the side panel scratches so easy
nice vid, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
As a user of high air flow builds, I would only buy a case with a 140mm fan in the back.
what are good high air flow cases?
