Do you recommend lubricating the end of the CO2 cylinder before reinserting it? I have used a food grade silicone grease on mine, barely enough to cover the tip and threads.

Think it is a shame the guide did not cover the expiration date on the firing mechanisms and whether the gas canister needs to be replace as well or if that can be verified by weight.

When repacking, you forgot to put the manual-mechanism to the outside...you left it inside at the cylinder.

Shame you didn't put the end cap back on the inflation tube when you packed up the first lifejacket, after taking such care not to introduce foreign bodies earlier in the process whilst deflating this was a major oversight.

Here's how to check and service an inherently buoyant life jacket. Step 1: place in water. Step 2: it floats everytime without the need for servicing and risk of not operating.

Not the best tutorial I've seen on servicing lifejackets.
