I loved this performance. I’m a big jazz loved. I was in a jazz band all through school My dad was also in a jazz band and he could not read music. . He did everything bu ear. I played two different saxophones, clarinet and flute in the school jazz band!
Tae’s voice is like warm honey & envelops you in a comforting hug. Cheek to cheek has been sung by Ella Fitzgerald (the Queen of Jazz) & Louie Armstrong as well as Frank Sinatra. He sang it beautifully as well.
This was really impressive and I think his vocal skills improved a lot👏👏 after watching this performance, I hope that one day he will collab with michael buble or norah jones

QOTD: I'm not really into Jazz but because of V I might start to. BTS has always inspired me to listen to all kinds of music no matter what the genre is. When I watched this I remember the woman who told and praised V that he has a soulful voice (American Hustle Life).
I had never listened to Jazz before Tae introduced me to this genre and today I have many recommendations from him in my playlist. I loved the clothes, in my head I also see jazz like that hehe

I’m 74 and for the majority of my life I simply accepted that extraordinary jazz singers were OBVIOUSLY, inevitably, going to provide exceptional music. If you don’t know, I can only with all my heart recommend Manhattan Transfer. They are clearly “parents” to V.

This was the best gift. You can tell that Tae really loves and takes Jazz seriously. He nailed not only the vocals but the whole atmosphere of Jazz from his clothing, the set, the live instruments. I love how Tae and Minna Soe's voices blend and I hope they do many more songs/performances together. I am so happy Tae is pursuing his love of Jazz and I'm sure he'll also pursue his love of R&B/Soul as well. I've been eager for his solo album and his performances like this make me even more so. I can't wait to see the various genres that Tae explores in his Chapter 2. Jazz is timeless and the type of music he can easily continue doing well into his advanced age. To answer the question, yes I love jazz. It is my top genre in my personal preference. So I really love V's solo songs and his voice. He's not my bias but he's my first fav among the vocal line in terms of music

The lady is Minna Seo and she was credited in the vocals on the It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas video he released months ago too!
