I personally own a lot of sticks including two protos and just got a 2NPROXL. I’m not the biggest fan of Bauer sticks but the 2NPROXL shot just as good if not better and has better puck feel and is only $100-150. I got my protos for $200 but for people not sponsored or have a good hook up and you like Bauer there older sticks are great and still widely used by the pros. In fact my protos are from Brayden Schenn when they came out and he went back to the 2NPROXL instead and I just bought a new one of his for $165. This is just a personal preference thing. I mainly use warrior LX pros or LX2 Pros because they shoot wickedly hard to the point I get yelled at by my teammates for blasting rockets. The FT Ghost also shoot rockets and easily putting them down 80+ mph. I would bet with a radar I’m hitting close to 90mph and with my 110-115 flex LX Pro close to 100. The Proto is just an odd stick. Tonight it was shooting good but last time I used it it was a muffin machine. But the alpha sticks every shot is crazy hard and they’re durable which is my personal choice.
