But we do know that's not what's going on. Water Breathing's whole deal is to be serene, at peace. Sanemi and Giyu are relative by portrayal. What gives Sanemi an edge against demons is his blood. At full power, he's the second strongest Hashira but he's not winning any fight against Giyu (or Obanai for that matter) easily. High diff it is.

I agree Sanemi is probably faster running but not too much to make a difference in a fight besides giyu has better reaction speed than Sanemi which is more useful in combat not saying giyu would win. The skill is something very general, but according to a fanbook (or databook, I don't remember what it was called XD) Sanemi is more skilled, but it doesn't specify in what sense (obviously Giyuu is more skilled as a swordsman)

Feel like it’s actually really cool that Sanemi manages to crack Giyu’s sword first because his attacks are very offensive BUT Giyu with his strength in defense still manages to use the cracked weapon long enough and well enough to crack and break Sanemi’s weapon by the end

@@Mellowz95 If you have a good technique you can easily prevent your weapon from breaking. The wooden swords are admittedly more fragile than their normal swords but Sanemi should be well versed enough in fighting to know how to best inflict damage without retaining any on his weapon. At best their weapons get blunt but that’s just normal maintenance issue that happens with any blade. If Sanemi really was retaining as much damage as he was inflicting we’d be shown his weapon to at least chip but we don’t.

Sanemi is speculated to be red/green colorblind, though some people say he can only see blue. See, I'm going to say he can only see blue. Which leads to my theory. Blue is Giyu's main color, it is the color of his eyes and the color of water breathing. Sanmi can only see blue, which is the color Giyu uses most. (Yes, Muichiro also uses blue, but he isn't related to this theory.) This means that the creator of Demon Slayer could be trying to say Sanemi and Giyuu are meant for each other. #SaneGiyu
