Congratulations on 200th episode Kevin and Skywatcher team 👍 👏 Keep looking up and enjoying the journey ✨️ and have a nice, well deserved rest and recovery after super busy April🎉 Cheers!
Also, Trevor! I remember the first time you and Kevin were on one of the earlier What's Up webcasts... It's so nice to see how far you both have "matured" with finding your respective "sweet spots", balancing your RUclips channels with your passion for astronomy and life... Wishing you continued success and enjoyment and thank you so much for what you do with your great contributions to the astronomy community 👍✨️👍

Are there any plans for a Sky-Watcher smart telescope?

Regarding your comment on diminishing returns for strain waive mounts. I believe you both failed to mention the main advantage to strain wave. The advantages over traditional gearing systems, no backlash with higher gear ratios means exceptional repeatability, with generally higher precision for most users. Portability at least for me is only a side benefit. Not the reason I moved to the platform. Therefore there absolutely is a market for stronger strain wave mounts with heaver payload capacities and yes agree, with more solid tripods. While I understand emphasizing "the more portable marketing angle of strain wave", ZWO others have done a poor job of communicating the other advantages and missed the boat by not offering a more robust tripods for the like of the AM5.. perhaps they can remedy that with a new AM7 package. Enjoy the show, clear sky's and Cheers..

Thanks for the analysis! We're just launching our Wave 100i and 150i strainwave mounts and they will be able to be adapted to our heavier EQ6-R tripods.
