    Love your videos, new subscriber. We're getting my husband's light mobility dog next month. So thrilled to meet our new helper and your videos are very informative.

    If i have learned anything from buying my own gear and seeing others gear … it’s that our gear is more to accommodate the public more than us lol but I love your haul ❤️ your such an awesome spirit 🦮🤍

    Have you seen the patience and live leash wraps? I put them on the top of my SDs belly strap and I find them helpful. It would go on the strap over his back in between where you bridge handle attaches.

    What size is the rain coat and the winter coat? I’m wanting to get one for my guide dog (she is also a golden retriever) but not sure on the size. Also are both pairs of boots the same size?

      No, he still has complete control of his mouth (can eat, open his mouth, etc.), so it doesn't physically restrain him at all. It just gives me more control over where his head is and helped me feel if he turned his head away and was not focused when he was in training.

    Just curious (no critic or anything, just curious and meant good!), what do you mean with giving a correction? 😊

    • @fromkaytozee8132
      @fromkaytozee8132  4 года назад +2

      Zenith gets verbal corrections and leash corrections (with a chain collar), although he needs less corrections now that he has learned my expectations.

      @@fromkaytozee8132 what is as correction though

    • @Inciliusnebulifer
      @Inciliusnebulifer 3 года назад +1

      @@supernoodles908 a correction is when you quickly pull back on the leash in order to tell the dog that what it did was incorrect and if needs to do it again. An example would be if the dog gets excited and loses focus on what its doing while guiding. So you give a "pop" on the leash which makes the chain tighten momentarily and the noise of the chain sliding as well as the momentary pressure of the chain collar grabs the dogs attention back onto you. The second you release pressure on the leash the collar loosens and goes back into its normal position

      @fromkaytozee8132  4 года назад +1

      I make them! I just get basic cotton fabric from Joann Fabrics and sew it into a triangle.

    Were you born blind or no?
    And can blind people see their dreams?

    • @fromkaytozee8132
      @fromkaytozee8132  5 лет назад +10

      Yes, I was born blind. Blind people see in their dreams the same way they see in real life. In other works, if you are totally blind, you see nothing in your dreams, but if you have some light perception, you see the same lights and shadows that you would see when you're awake when you dream. Most blind people have some small amount of vision (even if just a little light perception), so most blind people can see a little bit in their dreams. Blindness is a spectrum, not the binary "see everything or see nothing" thing that a lot of people think it is. Thanks for your curiosity :)
