I don’t know of any other resin channels that would care if most of us do not have a pressure pot! Very thoughtful. However, if you had one I would still enjoy watching and taking all the inspiration I can get from your projects! These little molds are adorable! My little Evie would love a pink glittery one! I ended up getting the balloon puppy molds and I know I’m getting these!! Thanks, again, Barbara!!

A pressure pot isn't a problem. I kind of like to see it when Julie uses hers. Considering the price I think it's a good investment. Just like I'd rather get a vacuum chamber instead of the resiners one. For a little more it can fit a whole lot more into it. So get one and we can all learn. 😁

On the pressure pot… I’m a bit afraid of using one. But I do use the Lets Resin debubbler (is that even a word?! lol )
I’m sure you probably already know… but others on here may not… when the resin is in a thinner mold it does take a bit longer than if it’s in a thicker mold. A heat pad could speed up the curing time. I use them and they are awesome!

This little brush is so pretty! Any little girl, or even a big girly girl, would love it. Re a pressure pot, you may want to look at the Resiners bubble remover. It leaves bubbles on top of fast cure, but for regular resin it works great. Don’t fill the cup up with resin when you put it in the machine as the process makes it bubble up in the cup. Those bubbles go down when you release the vacuum. ❤

Side note, I got the air-less for Xmas (from me to me lol) and I absolutely love it. It doesn’t work well with 4 hr cure resin though because it’s too think.
My dream resin would be if they would create a polyurethane resin that’s clear that won’t kill you if you use it lol. Love the let’s resin polyurethane but it cures white. Very nice if you want white or pastel colour though.

Love those brush molds. I don't mind watching someone who has one though. My only "issue" with it is that as a new creator I felt so pressured to have "all the cool stuff" other crafters used. So, I would say if you get one make mention that it's a nice thing to have but not a "must have" when starting out. I'm hoping to have a pressure pot someday and when I do I plan to make that clear to anyone watching my channel.

I agree! None of the extra extravagant stuff is actually needed for a resin project. When i first started, several years ago, there was nothing. Molds were only found on Etsy or by private people making them, and I had to buy resin made for boat finish. So I agree!! It's completely fine to keep with the basics, that's for sure ❤️

I love molds that have a practical use. Of course decorative pieces are fun too but, practical use molds are just kind of a bonus.. it can be beautiful and useful. Your brush turned out really pretty. It’d be fun to make an entire set, like the old antique sets with a brush, handheld mirror, comb, perfume pump and tray. I haven’t seen any mold sets with all of those items but, I’d imagine they’re available individually. One of your brush molds would be pretty using a lil alcohol ink or just ink with interference powder.. maybe blue or violet? I think some projects are just so much better with a pressure pot, like a pyramid for instance. But, other pieces it’s not all that necessary. If you’re wanting to get one, I think you should. If you have a big mold where you’re using a lot of resin, then I’d use one for sure.. if I had one.😆 Actually I’ve been thinking about getting one too, as well as a vacuum chamber. I poured 3 of my large 23oz. skull molds for Halloween and I was wishing I had one then. Resin isn’t cheap so, you definitely want the best possible outcome. I always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing your fun projects!😊

I've heard of folks that are actually incorporating bubbles into the work on purpose. I'm not sure how they add more bubbles though.
Maybe a straw with a thicker resin.
But i think you should get a pressure pot. But maybe not do all your projects with it so you can still show regular effects. You could even do side by side comparison effects. I havent seen anyone do 2 molds from the same mixing container in order to show the differences.
It might help folks decide if they really want one themselves or if they're happy enough as is.
Buuuttt in saying all this i bought a dehydrator with 5 or 6 square metal trays inside that can be removed. I use teeexpert because thats what was on sale a year ago. If I'm careful i can demold generally in about 3-4 hours depending on how thick the piece is.
The heat makes it seem softer when you first pull it out. So i let it sit & cool a couple of minutes before demolding. I also set the pieces once demolded on a flat surface so the shape doesn't change.
The metal trays are are sturdier than the resin machine. Plus being on the inside it protects from dust & cat hair. Also it was only about $75-100.
But you definitely want to let the pieces sit a while before turning it in. I've gotten a few trapped bubbles right in the center back before.

What I learned other the years, 4 hour resin will not work in a pressure pot or a vacuum chamber. I watch a lot of wood turning videos, the wood turners who use resin with wood all use a pressure pot and or a vacuum chamber. Wood creates lots of bubbles and they usually have deep pours, 3-6 liters (and they still get bubbles)
The folks that pour resin tables, use cooling tables and fans to reduces bubbles. The resins takes days to harden.
I started pouring resin in 2017 to seal in my paintings. ❤

If it’s a cheaper mold, that you’re not going to use in mass production, it’s ok. I wouldn’t chance it on an expensive mold though. The alcohol can dry it out after time. I’ve used it in my cheap coaster molds a ton and they’re fine.

@@pattiobrien5408 thank you cause I have only watched videos never poured any material into any mold so it is good to get some feed back. I appreciate it.

Thank you for the comment! ❤️. It's a matter of preference and I've been doing this for years. I'd never use 99% alcohol on my molds but the 91% has never caused a problem for me. :)

@@resinnut9335 I want to give it a try one day when I see a mold that I want personally and after I watch a few more videos that will help me choose a good resin or other product and a mold. I don't think I would pour for anyone else at least not to sell. I love crafty things.

The price of that resineer machine, just add a few more bucks and get a real pressure pot.
I think these resin companies are really taking advantage of us artists. I refuse to purchase those high priced gadgets.
Get yourself a real machine girl.😊

Thank you Ali! 😊 I bought the little bubble machine months ago and I think that's why I haven't tried it yet... just wish I would have bought something larger to put projects inside. Thank you!! ❤️
