Some things to note about this song. It was the last single released on the Parlaphone label. All singles afterwards would be released on their new Apple label. 2. Lennon dissed the song later on even though he helped co-write it. "Speaking later about "Lady Madonna", Lennon said, "Good piano lick, but the song never really went anywhere", adding: "Maybe I helped him on some of the lyrics, but I'm not proud of them either way." 3. It has a connection to Hey Bulldog. As they were in studio to record a promotional film for it (video) "Although the intention had been to show the Beatles miming to the single, the band decided they wanted to use the time to record a new song. The footage therefore consisted of the Beatles recording Lennon's "Hey Bulldog"
