Yeah i think we’ll run into each other. I run 2lb smoke and 2lb diawa samurai flourocarbon green. To be honest, i believe its more the presentation of the lure than the color of the line. I’ve used 4lb clear and still caught, but downsized to 2lb for smaller 1/80th oz lures.

What rod and reel are you using?
I’m using a Diawa Spinmatic 5’6” with a sienna 500 and a Phenix Elixir 7’ with a sienna 1000.
What lakes can I catch crappie that you know of in the socal area
Can you narrow down a bit more as to where in socal? Puddingstone is doing very well, but you have to go pretty soon because if the temp drops more, they wont want to bite. Fisherman’s retreat middle lake has some. If you’re further down closer to SD, lake hodges has really nice ones.
Ok I familiar with both those lakes is there any pacific spot at putting stone to fish? I heard sailboat was a good area to fish
