For the age of devices built by BSH (Bosch, Siemens etc.) look for the factory date code (FD …). For the year of build, add 20 to the first two digits. The last two digits stand for the month. FD 8010 = October 2000
Mother has one still going strong, circa 2000, both the drum and wash tub are stainless steel. When Bosch was producing high quality robust product, not the plastic rubbish they now put out. Intelligent hot fill too- if the inbound hot water was above the programme requirement the water would be mixed with cold.
I do like these retro-looking bosch machines, more of them please! By the way, I seem to recall everyone thought you were dead for a while, was that just a myth or am I thinking of the wrong person?
bootsowen you could maybe look up how? If u can figure out the amount of wire slots it has it may be quite simple to wire as if it was a bog standard motor one, I’m sure it’s quite simple once you figure out how to do it. If not maybe just use the spin cycle if it works, that’s what I did once I just poked a screw driver in the door lock and pushed a bit of metal back and clicked and off it went
I still have a WFK2400 from 1996. Amazing machine and going like a rocket! Shock absorbers are done wobbles a lot haha sometimes it bangs around
The shocks are not so expensive and easy to replace.
Yeah i know. I have replaced the brushes. Now is the heater doing weird things. I have to replace it too. It gave me an error. It costs 90€!
These parts are a lot cheaper on eBay
@@bootsowen haha i gave up with it. I bought a secondhand maxx 6 much better washing machine
keep it , I got a similar one it's great

thanks, quite an old machine.
@@bootsowen Indeed. Sadly BSH doesn’t build washing machines of that mechanical strength anymore.
@@bootsowen hii?

Would you spin race these 3 I definitely would love to see that keep the good work up mate
lovely machine buddy 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌
Dou you have any idea about code 1 Error, I changed the cover lock and How to reset the machine to clear the code?
I suspect it is drain pump blocked. Unplug for 2 minutes to clear.
October 2000
No, it's 2001 or 2003
Please by any chance can you tell me why there are 2 water in places. One is just white and one is red. Do I need hot and cold water connected please?
Suds in final spin ? Doesn"t it mean, that clothes weren"t fully rinced ?

it could be that you are thinking of Aussie50, he was also an experimenter. He is sadly dead.
@@bootsowen Ah, that's the one. Shame about him.. Glad you're still around though! Keep it up :)
Does this machine need a hot and cold water supply? At the back there is like 2 connections and one is red
You can put cold into both inlets.
Oh my! It's very loud!!! I have the bosch Exlusiv t1001a and my washing machine works quiet
Destroy the WFF 1800, it is wery hungry!
Is it possible u might replace it with one of ur other Bosch’s but keep them if u do?
I don't understand your question. my plan is to keep all 4, 1401, 1800, 2000, 2801. BUt in my experience I have always been able to fix the wff1800,
bootsowen yh sorry my question wasn’t that clear I meant that will u replace the 2801 Bosch with one that you use from day to day
Have u destroyed the Hotpoint wma50?
not yet. I picked up an LG direct drive, it is a bit rusty but i think it would work. difficult to wire the motors if it doesn't work.
