Once again you have outdone yourself. I am really loving this series Ken. Two things that really stood out to me, first you never stopped smiling in this episode. Second thing is I didn't see all the trash in the river like allot of our rivers and streams here in the U.S. I have always carried out more trash than I take with me. I wish more Americans had this kind of respect for our beautiful country. I think I need to start planning for a kayak trip in Finland. Thanks again for taking us along Ken and all those involved in producing these videos.

Experiencing the beauty and solitude that river environment had to offer was priceless. I guess you could call it "forest bathing" on a river.

Thank you for this series! You took me way back in time… My very best Finnish friend took me to the hostel in Kilpisavari and we hiked through the Lapland nature preserve. That was 37 years ago and was as close to wilderness I have ever experienced. Loved seeing your paddling adventure up there today 😀

Been loving these European vids! I'll likely never make it across the pond so it's been nice to see some of their beautiful waterways.
Any advice on the best way to "scout" a place you've never been to know what you might expect or where to go.. assuming you're not using a guide.

Great scenery..it was somehow greener than I expected 😂
Were there no wildlife worries? It looked good for fishing
which means bears...big hungry bears 🤔

There is black bears but they don’t bother humans. There is so much wilderness so bears are still wild and therefore scare people. Well, if you see some cubs then maybe is better to change direction. There is wolverines and wolfs too, but those are really scary.

@@JakkeLehtonen-Jagster No black bears in finland. Brown bears yes.
