About Jessa Sky:
Representing her Indigenous roots to the fullest and shining a spotlight on her culture wherever possible, this Métis Cree singer currently resides in Treaty 6 Territory. She has a message that needs to be heard. If you listen carefully to her lyrics you’ll hear how thin the veil is between innocence and heart ache. Jessa Sky's music combines raw emotion, melody and lyrics that reflect the depths of her soul. Jessa Sky is more than just a powerful voice and talented songwriter. She’s an advocate for everything that doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. It’s why her music touches the core of your heart. It’s never just about the sound of an artist, it’s about their soul. And this creative artist has a deep connection to hers. She made Top 100 in the 2021 CBC Toyota Searchlight competition out of 2500 contestants, with her debut single and music video “On My Own”. Jessa Sky is currently working on her debut album funded by the Edmonton Arts Council, set to release in October 2023. Jessa Sky believes music has the power to heal the world as it has healed hers. “For me, music has always been my remedy for the most deepest of cuts and if my songs can heal wounds in others then everything is worth it''.
