    its better to not have the seats folded flat, you can put all the late deliveries in the boot, and middle deliveries on the rear passenger and the first 5-10 packages on the front passenger. With the seats folded flat it will get all mixed up.

    NEVER follow the suggested route...
    ALWAYS tap map, see all locations and then use your brain to make the decision of how you are doing the route.
    Otherwise you will always have to go back on yourself as system loves to send you back to where you have already been.
    Put all postable parcels in the passenger seat, boxes in backseat/boot.... why? that way you wont have to get out of the car to look for "postables" as you can store them like DVD's at the front.

    "Drop, knock, and run" is the way you do it. You don't have to deliver the package to a person.

    • @Laurenelizo
      @Laurenelizo 4 года назад

      Really? So take a photo and run? Drop, knock, photo, run?

    • @landonp629
      @landonp629 4 года назад

      Laurenelizo the running part is optional, but all you need to do is drop the package in a safe location, take a picture, knock, and turn around leave. You do not have to personally deliver each package to a resident unless the package says to do that. It’s ultimately up to you if you decide to wait on people to receive the package, it might well lead to less stolen packages - but can also double the length of your block.

    • @landonp629
      @landonp629 4 года назад

      Laurenelizo in my area it’s the same thing all delivery services do. Most don’t even knock.

    Don’t know what result you get but to make decent money you’ve got to do 80-100 deliveries a day. Any decent courier company will pay decent money for that.
    So you basically spent a week learning how it works. 2nd 3rd week you may have done decent money

    Two crucial things Ben... book your slots next time but more importantly IMO work out your fuel used! Insurance and car running costs aren’t really overheads because we pay for them regardless, but the cost of the extra fuel you use on the job probably knocks quite a bit off your earnings. Would be interesting to see exactly how much!!

    • @willwonka1325

    You're doing what taxi drivers do when boasting, quoting your turnover as your earnings. Using cash basis accounting, simply count your mileage and deduct 45p a mile (upto 10,000 then 25p per mile) this will give you your earnings.

    I do Amazon flex in NYC and its even harder to get shifts but I usually make $1.5k a week with about 20 hours we have 4 amazon flex warehouses in NYC with 2 more in long island and 1 in yonkers. I recommend it to anyone that has a car and lives close to a amazon warehouse. And they dont take out taxes!!

    For everyone saying he should do it again. I used to manage drivers at a agency which hires full time delivery drivers and from doing that i spent alot of time in the depot and understand how it works. Its not worth your while. Dont get me wrong sometimes you will get slots that are worth your while and you will finish in 4 hours but if you average out the amount of time you work, fuel costs, costs of wear and tear on your car, milage etc then your lucky if you make minimum wage. Your better going and doing food deliverys and spend your time finding a place that i really busy. I know a boy who worked out what he averages doing a saturday and Sunday night 6 hour shifts and he averages out at £200 a shift

    One idea for this is to be an amozon flex driver and and Uber. Once you have finished your parcels you go on Uber for a couple of hours

So you have to pay tax if you earn over the personal allowance...your just teaching kids to go out and make easy money but not saying your self employed have to register for self assessment that can be a pain. Liked the video but think you should have explained little more
