If DENSMORE would have allowed Manzaric and Krieger to use the DOORS as a band name, they would have had 5 years touring, dammit! Densmore nixed using the DOORS saying it wasnt the doors without Jim. Did he play drums? Bad decision.

Ian has been a Doors fan since he was 10 yrs old. He's said he's not replacing Jim. Although the tour was plagued with lawsuits, it was an honor for Ian to be asked and in honor of Jim.
Bands play with new members all the time. It's their job, they want to continue to play music.
