Hey, thank you for your helpful videos :) How come when I press backspace or delete to add the pattern, the stripes from the layer are getting deleted?

Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! Make sure that the selection you created before pressing backspace is a selecting of just the twill pattern, not the entire artboard. The most common reason that happens is you have a white background (i/o transparent background) on the twill weave.

@@383design Thank you for answering so quickly! Indeed, I have a white background on the twill weave. I've tried to change it, but I couldn't find it...

@@SarahIqbal-bs2fy When you're creating the weave texture, make sure you set it to a transparent background, not white. You change this setting when you are setting up the file. (Set the size--4x4 pixels-- and set the color of the background--transparent:)

@@383design I fixed it! :) I must have overlooked it, although your videos are very clear.

@@SarahIqbal-bs2fy Awesome! And you wouldn't be the first! That transparent background is very easy to overlook:) Glad it's fixed!

Is there anyway to actually print and use these patterns to make your own shirts? If so how does that work?

Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. You definitely can, especially if you are planning to print, not weave, it.
You would need to give the printer the actual size repeat and a pitch sheet which calls out the colors (usually matching to Pantone) that you want to use to print your plaid.

hey how we create pattern then techpack and how we make different size of tech pack depend on age of childern like 8 ,12,16 age pattern tech pack sizes

Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! I have three other videos on my channel that can help you create tech packs. You may want to speak with a technical designer about making the different sizes. The channel Points of Measure does videos mostly on technical design so perhaps she has some videos or can be more of assistance on grading.

I followed your instructions, but my square is so large. I have it set to 1 but when I click to put a square it covers the whole 4x4 document.

Hi, Kim. Thanks for watching and commenting. Assuming you're talking about the twill weave texture? It sounds like perhaps the cursor settings for your brush are not in pixels or points. That's the only thing I can think of if it's too large. You can check that in the preferences. If you're still having trouble, you could use the rectangular marquee and create boxes the size of the gridded squares and fill them with black.
