I am so sick of manufacturers' blatant lies. I've never reached the promised speeds even with the best PC setups and USB 3.1 ports! Of course they are safe because they claim "up to" x mb/s...
I found a test of the 256 GB version, apparently its write speeds are much faster. The tester copies a 26 GB folder (no small files) to the drive on windows with an average write speed of 110 MB/s. ruclips.net/video/7VuxTnKEKic/видео.html
Thanks for doing the 5 GB file test and the system backup (46 GB) test. I'm looking to buy an affordable flash drive with decent sustained write performance. Unfortunately I cannot find any useful and recent comparison reviews. Most testers only write 1GB files, which is useless (I have drives that do 80 MB/s for the first GB, then soon after drop to 10 MB/s).
Hello! How did you make OS X working on a laptop? It seems it's not a MacBook, so I wonder how you achieved that :) I tried to find any hackintosh configuration, but, seems, all the ready-to-use configurations were desktops and laptops were extremely not recommended to use. Could you, please, share a link to any guide on this topic?
Any USB drive can be password protected. On Mac, right click the icon, select "encrypt" and choose a password. On Windows 10 / 11 Pro, right-click the drive icon in Explorer, and select "Turn on BitLocker", tick the box that says "Use a password to unlock the drive" and choose a password. For Windows Home you'd have to use third party software.
I have the 128gb and the speed is 50-60MB/s. And read speed is always over 300MB/s. Its really worth it for the price. One of my best investment. I have it on my key chain and its always there when I want to install game or copy file over on other PC. I use it as offload drive because of the speed of 300MB/s. Worth every penny!
does this mean the transferring speed from your computer to the usb flash drive is only around 40MB/s? That is pretty slow tho. Can you please confirm?
Hi! I got this memory from Amazon yesterday, and I could hear a sound inside of the memory after I plug in my computer, do you know is this normal? It's sounds like it has something inside it Thanks for you video
its about as good as an ssd on sata 2 on the read speed but worse than mechanical drives on the write. so in a way yes and in a way no to answer your question

I am actually happily surprised by that result! Most USBs don't do more than 10Mb/s writes, this is good news! Thanks for the review :)
Yes I was surprised by the performance too, it's a very good little drive.
Its so tiny. I can't get over the fact that its _so tiny_

the Wii i was homebrewing bricked my last drive. i hope it was due to the drive's age, but we'll see when this one arrives.
It's not really Samsung. It reports back as silicon motion Inc chip

No, I've not had any issues with this drive. It's been working perfectly.

There should be now USB-C version of this flash drive. Would be perfect for Macbook
San-disk does a tiny USB-C that could be a good alternative for you

Hi. Is this wide enough to block the other usb-c port on a macbook pro? Should I worry about it? Thank you!
Will installing an OS on this USB be effective in terms of performance/reliability? I plan to use it for OpenMediaVault and Linux distros.
suspend or hibernate might not work properly when booting/running from usb.
Would this fit samsung tab S7?
Would you say this is one of the best usb drives you owned?
Yes. Although the best is the Arcanite drive I reviewed in a later video. Almost 400MB/s, and cheaper than the Samsung.
Does it plug in to an Lenovo ideacentre A540?
Sir please you suggest me the Samsung Bar plus 128gb vs Samsung Fit plus 128gb what is better
In terms of performance they are about the same. I prefer the Fit Plus because it's smaller.
Thanks alot

Not that I have noticed, no.

I don't see why not, if you're talking about placing an ESP on it.
