The ML is not what I consider a good actor but his fight scenes are unmatched. The FL is just an unremarkable and forgettable actress. His fight skills made this drama watchable for me 🫠
Well, we can't all like the same things. Wu Lei is the best Chinese actor for me. He convincingly plays every type of character he challenges himself to. His gives me chills with his portrayal of various roles. I've gone back and watched pretty much all of his works from 2017 onward(both films and dramas) even though he's been a well known, awarded actor since he was a child. Dilraba, on the other hand, I don't really follow, but she was fantastic here as Li Changge.
Dilraba and Wu lei are not good chemistry. Shao luzi shouldn't be the second lead here, THE BEST MATCH IS SHAO LUZI AND WU LEO VERY COMPATIBLE AND HAVE GOOD VIBES TO THE PEOPLE.
Plain and simple, Zhao Lusi is the second lead because there's no way she's playing a tomboy princess who is half Turkic over Dilraba, who is of actual Turkic descent and who also happens to share some physical resemblances to the original character from the manhua. I also greatly enjoyed the chemistry between Dilraba and Wu Lei. In fact, Ashile Sun and Li Changge are a much, much better CP any day of the week than Shao Shang and LBY. Shao Shang and LBY's one-sided feelings relationship and punishing "love" traumatized me to the point where I could no longer feel any chemistry between them. If one punishes the other and cuts ties with them for 5 long years(for trying to save them too!), why are they even still together in the end? I hated their relationship and how there wasn't any attempts from Shao Shang to try to understand LBY's actions. Felt like she kicked him over and over all drama long until the last two minutes of the drama. Was the worst.
When the audience saw Dilraba dressed as a guy, they were outraged that she didn’t look like a man. Prev I can imagine what it would be if Changge were played by Zhao Lu Si, who, unlike Dilraba, does not have the slightest resemblance to a man . Dilraba really looks like Changge, who looked like an immature, effeminate boy of 14 years old. In addition, Changge in the original is half-Uyghur. I think it’s much more logical when such a character is played by a girl of Uyghur origin, rather than Han (Chinese). And Dilraba and Wu Lei have pretty good chemistry, it’s just that most people don’t see it because of the obsession with strong displays of feelings and emotions. Some said that the relationship between Changge and Song was friendly. But I think that their “friendship” is much more similar to real love, and not that “passion” and "attraction" we are used to seeing in films/series. As one of my friends said, “love is friendship between a couple for life”
This was one of the BEST cinematic scene of all times. It deserves an oscar all by itself!!!!!
Their chemistry is second to none. Reba and Wu Lei should do another drama together.
