@@TheNelsb92 In floorball? I beg to differ. Hockey guys would move as they do in hockey which really isn't a benefit in floorball as you need to make hard cuts and change direction. In hockey you skate around with the help of the ice. And the other way around. Floorball requires other technique with the stick.
@@TheNelsb92 nhl players have it easier getting good at, baseball, golf and tennis due to the same kind of hip rotation the sport use.

What a strange sport? Why not just play ice hockey?
It's very popular in Sweden due to a various different reasons. First and foremost it's easier to play, you don't need to be able to skate which you really have to learn when you are 6-8 years old if you want to be a pro in hockey. You dont need to buy all the equipment which can be expensive. Second of all, it's a great sport to catch up all the guys that quit hockey when they were young since the game is pretty much the same except for the ice and other stuff. You really need to be swedish to understand floorball.

@@odysseyproject378 Well ice hockey is harder to learn, and you really have to learn when you are a kid in order to be good. Floorball is a part of Swedish culture i guess, so it's hard to explain why it's so big in Sweden. But i would say because you don't need all the equipment like in hockey and it doesn't take as much time as practicing and playing hockey. I played hockey when i was a kid but like a lot of other guys i quit around 14-15 when the workout load got harder. I didn't really enjoy it. And now i miss it everyday, but today i'm 25 y/o. I can't start playing ice hockey again. It would cost me too much while i can play floorball for a small cost and it's easier to combine with your private life. So to sum it up, the sport is probably created as a more comfortable version of hockey. Don't get me wrong tho, you can't slack on the floorball pitch.

I play floorball and almost all the sports you mentioned are easy. I just enjoy floorball more.

CODE 202 wow, you really dont know much about hockey then. Hockey players are known to be one of the most humble athletes. And the only similarities between hockey and floorball is the two goals and that you’re using a stick...
Most of the guys who play floorball have played hockey. Floorball is just as fast paced as hockey except you use your feet to drive your legs, you cant move around on a floorball rink without running. So don't get it twisted, it requires stamina.

not to be rude but this guy has avg skills at best, take any normal house leage player from canada and he would smoke these guys, ive seen guys in the OHL with those crappy flimsy sticks and just stick handle the fuck out of the ball and shoot anywhere in the net, most of these guys dont even make it past the OHL so seeing this is cool but nothing special

Hockey is nothing like floorball. It's like comparing european football with american football just because kick a ball with your feet.
Floorball ball is at least 2* faster, its hollow plastic for a reason, also it’s impossible to drag the stick on the floor unlike ice hockey as it is plastic. Manoeuvres with a puck is much easier. Sure ice hockey uses skates but most players excluding the top brass aren’t really masters of skating, there’s a video online comparing pro ice skaters n pro ice hockey players. If that doesn’t convince you a pro floorball player was ranked top of NHLUT so the skill gap should not be that big anyways
All hockey players I’ve seen play do it awkwardly, because they rely on the skating and can’t run nor move their body efficiently enough.

How can anyone possibly even remotely take this kids game with any level of seriousness? Kids in elementary school play this FFS. Either learn how to skate snd play real hockey or stick to actual floor hockey.
